The visitor center is exceptionally well-stocked with guides and other information. We visit a lot of NWRs and state parks and I was really impressed with what I saw. And they actually had knowledgeable volunteers manning the desk! So often there's a person who knows nothing about birds or where to find specific species on the refuge or is even able to give you suggestions on what to see while you're there. We got a lot of helpful info that made our 2 hours very worthwhile and productive. One highlight was a beautiful male Pileated woodpecker hanging upside down on a shelf feeder - 15 feet away from us at the window.

The wines here were " okay" , nothing especially memorable although we did buy a bottle on " clearance" for $10. What was laughable , though, were the 2 tasting options . There was a $5 tasting with 5 wines or a $10 " deluxe tasting" with "cheese and crackers " , 6 tastings and a $5 voucher toward a bottle priced at $11.95 or higher. We selected the latter but fortunately were allowed to split the tastings or this would have been outrageous! The " cheese and crackers" consisted of about 5 wheat Ritz Crackers(!) and cheap, small cubed cheese, about the same number. They did not offer anything edible to separate the tastings and replaced it with a charge for Ritz crackers?
I will say that the sprawling venue is breathtakingly beautiful. There are multiple buildings allowing for them to host various events including what appear to be weddings. So, head here for that reason but don't expect much from the wines.

Small museum split over 2 buildings in the original huts of the Freeman Army Airfield, this community museum displays some of the artifacts evaluated at Seymour by the allies and some that were buried and recovered after the war.
Run by great volunteers, the museum is open on Saturday mornings. Well worth the visit.

We had a really great night at the 411 Motor Speedway over Labor Day weekend. The races were really fun to watch. I, personally, am not a big fan of car racing and have only been to one Nascar race (Bristol) and I enjoyed the 411 more. There's just more action happening on the track.
The concession stand has a lot of variety and is reasonably priced. They had $1 hotdogs and bottled water the night we went. My only complaint is they don't sell beer at the track (and as far as I know you can't bring any in with you). As someone who isn't a huge fan of racing, a couple of beers would go a long way to making the night more enjoyable.
Also, I highly recommend wearing ear and eye protection. The cars are very loud and dirt and dust does get kicked up by the cars.

We were staying in Walland, TN at the Twin Valley Bed and Breakfast and Horse Ranch for the weekend when the owner took us to Andy's Junction on Saturday evening to a country western dance. What a fun evening!! Felt like being taken back to a bygone era of simple fun!!
There was a live band that played country-western music all evening. The crowd was wonderful and friendly!! Our two children wanted to dance and the locals were very happy to help them learn the line dancing moves. The kids danced all evening!! It was such fun!! No drinking or smoking inside (that we could see). Everyone was friendly. There were even some little prize contests. We'd definitely do this again!!
FYI: Small cover charge ($6/person) and the food was good and incredibly reasonably priced.

The outside isn't much to look at, and honestly if it hadn't been recommended by the hotel, I never would have ventured inside, but I was glad I did. My meal was delicious. A ribeye steak with grilled mushrooms, onions, and Swiss cheese, on a roll, crispy tater tots, and a soda (after the first refill the waitress just left the pitcher). The staff was very friendly, and the place was appropriate for families (enter on the side for the restaurant). Prices were reasonable. It's a very "local" place, but I'm sure I'd visit often if I lived here.
Side note: I don't know why Tripadvisor has this classified as an "Attraction", it's a bar/restaurant.
