The colorful Norwegian city of Bergen is also a gateway to majestic fjords. Bryggen Hanseatic Wharf will give you a sense of the local culture – take some time to snap photos of the Hanseatic commercial buildings, which look like scenery from a movie set. Don’t breathe too deeply when you visit the outdoor fish market, a reminder of the city’s role in early fish trade. Ferry across a fjord to Lysøen, where the former villa of 19th-century composer Ole Bull will captivate you with fairytale charm.

Norway's oldest independent record store also containing an unique cafe, bar and pub.
Didn’t even know this place was a record shop as I was actually looking for somewhere that did good beer, so what a great surprise. Excellent choice of craft ales to choose from, some local, some from afar! And lots of racks of vinyl covering a range of genres. Had to buy some... Knowledgeable staff on both music and beer. We really liked the relaxed atmosphere. Just people chatting with good tunes in the background. Went back twice more in the 3 days we were in Bergen...

Vaskeriet is a playground for those who like cocktails, ping pong or dancing. At daytime we always keep our ping pong tables out for your enjoyment and at nighttime we pull of the most amazing parties with great DJs. We serve our own home made slushes and cocktails made with only proper ingredients; Fresh fruits and such. Vaskeriet is also home to the super popular "Silent Disco" every Wednesday & Thursday. This is a must do if you want to meet the locals of Bergen.

You'll be surprised to find a club like Klubb KOK in a far away place like Bergen, but once you get to know the city, and it's vibrant music scene, the surprise just might wear of. Klubb KOK (pronounced with a long 'O', like in 'COOL') was named Bergen's Night Club Venue of the year in 2014, after only six months of operation. We are a leading supplier of high-quality cultural experiences, and have made a mark with quality events that usually fall under the genres of hip hop and house. We also arrange revolving art exhibitions, thus working closely with both the local music and art scene. We are open Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays - every week. Tuesdays we have the concept of "Tirsdagsterapi", or "Tuesday Therapy" in English, which opens at 21:00. We make the club smaller, cozier and more intimate. These evenings have become popular among young, creative people, and you meet a varied and interesting clientele. Fridays we open at 23:00 and we often start the weekend with a concert or a DJ-based club concept. Saturday is the great Party Day. We open at 22:30, and local, national and international DJs of world class standard play the best rhythmic dance music from genres such as hip hop, house, afrobeat, grime, bass, two step and the like. Klubb KOK are open to 03:30 in the morning all regular opening days. We have, among others, arranged concerts by artists such as: - Lars Vaular (NO) - Stormzy (UK) - Emil Stabil (DK) - Finnebassen (NO) - Gilli (DK) - Sebastian Ingrosso (SE) - D Double E (UK) - A-laget (NO) - Axel Boman (SE) - The Magician (BE) - Chopstick & John Jon (DE) - Daniel Bortz (DE) - General Knas (SE) - Klumben & Raske Penge (DK) - Ralph Myerz (NO) - Store P (NO) - Total Freedom (US) - Drippin (NO) - Lord Sivas (DK) - Unge Ferrari (NO) - Arif (NO) - Joddski (NO) - Sinjin Hawke (CA)
