Selby Abbey has served the local community for over 950 years. Welcoming to all, the Abbey has a rich and diverse heritage waiting to be explored. Hosting regular services, as well as cultural events, concerts, children's activities and tours there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Beautiful place to visit, the stained glass is fantastic. The grounds were more extensive before the reformation but the Minster itself is awe-inspiring. Has a lovely little café inside that serves teas and coffees with homemade cake and has a little gift shop. The washbasins in the facilities have a great view of a stained glass window! Go visit when you are in the Selby area.

We're an independent shop in the heart of Selby Town centre established 8 years. At Mollie Sharp's you will find a wonderful selection of fine cheeses; beers, wines & spirits; hampers; gift items and more. Our product ranges are carefully selected, with locally sourced items being high on our agenda. This includes stocking beers and spirits produced right in the heart of Selby. We offer a year round hamper service as well as offering Cheese Wedding and Celebration cakes.
This is a WONDERFUL shop. They have lots of different cheeses that I can buy in smaller quantities. This is good as it means I can buy a little portion of one new to me to try (although they will give dames) and as I live alone I don't have to buy more than I need. They also sell lots of different pickles, oils etc. Why not visit and give it a go?

Lovely place to take your dog for a walk, or just yourselves! It’s quite big with various different areas and you can choose how far to go. There is plenty of wildlife to see such as rabbits, deer, squirrels, birds and stoats. There is also a picnic area.

I visited here the other week with a group of ladies for a friend's birthday. It was bottomless lunch on a Saturday and despite how busy they were, the service was outstanding. The staff couldn't do enough to make our visit perfect. I ordered the nachos and my friend's had a combination of food that was on the bottomless menu. Not long after we ordered our food was brought to our tables and the presentation was great. It tasted so good I considered ordering more, but of course, I was way too full and had to watch the waistline! As soon as our drinks were empty the girls were right on getting us another one. We had such a great time that we have already booked in for another bottomless lunch in a few weeks and we can't wait. Thanks again to the girls behind the bar, who not only provided us with great service but gave us a right laugh. Oh and P.S The decor is amazing ????
