Had a brilliant trip to Messingham Zoo while passing through Scunthorpe on a return trip to the North. The prices for admission, gifts, and the cafe were very reasonable and the staff were more than happy to offer a guided tour, allowing my children 5yr, 3yr and 1yr to stroke many of the animals and ask tons of questions. The zoo is tidy and clean with handwashing available after handling animals. And most importantly the animals have loads of room and are in great condition showing they are genuinely looked after. A brilliant attraction for the area and count myself lucky to have found this gem and have a visit :) Thank you Messingham Zoo!

I recently purchased an annual pass for £20 which includes free car parking each time. Overall this is excellent value and we are already on our third visit. We really lovely the Hall and Park and my young child has lots of different activities - two parks, splash pad, kids room with a fab dolls house in the Hall, craft and role play in the museum and our surprise at finding the play house in the woods. The land train was good value at £1 am adult and the volunteers mini steam trains at 20p each was a bargain! Snack items and coffees are fairly expensive but I'm glad to see the main cafe is undergoing a refurbishment from this week. Overall we love coming here and all the staff are really friendly and helpful.
