Attended the Cook School for a half-day session on gluten-free cooking- spiced gnocchi with smoked haddock cream sauce followed by chocolate, pear & almond tart, amazing! Watched demonstrations from the impressive Nick Nairn himself before making the meal ourselves. Afterwards we enjoyed our 'creations' in the restaurant with great Menteith views. Enjoyable day with entertaining banter from our host (& very knowledgeable Carol) and fantastic cooking tips for recreating the dishes at home. Would definitely recommend!

Had a fantastic little night making pastries with my sister. Light dinner, few drinks and our baking to take home. Something fun and different. I’ve been to the cooking class and cocktail class before and really enjoyed them too x

I have owned bars and restaurants in Edinburgh for over 20 years and have run Holiday Let apartments for over 10 years - my job has always been to make visitors to my city feel at home. I love beer, wine and whisky (a little too much according to my wife!!) and am passionate about good quality Scottish food and drink. The experience will be hosted at my restaurant, Smoke Stack, a family run neighbourhood restaurant which was opened in 1996.
