1st visit to the trails here and they certainly don't disappoint, did the black route straight off the bat and it broke me a little, did a bit of pushing up but the flies took a shine to me so stopping wasn't an option. The downhills are ace though and well worth the climbing, spooky wood is great fun and even the blue at the end is pretty mega with great flow, just a shame it's so far away.

Innerleithen, situated just a few miles south east of Glentress is the preserve of the more experienced rider. Deemed as providing awesome downhill and freeride trails, as well as a cracking red-graded XC route.

The Kintyre Way runs the length of the beautiful Kintyre peninsula on the west coast of Scotland and provides users with wonderfully diverse terrain which will challenge and enchant in equal measure. The route winds its way from Tarbert in the North to Machrihanish in the South with a total distance of 100 miles, can be completed in 4-7 days.

Port Ellen to the Ardbeg Distillery a distance of about 6 miles in total there and back. Great views as you walk along the tarmac pathway mostly safely separated from the main road. The added bonus three distilleries on the way, or six if you stop on the way back as well……….

Open once again after lockdown. The car park was nearly full, with walkers and cyclists. £1 to park here. Beautiful walks, fresh air and a good panoramic view of northern Scotland in the distance from the memorial stone pyramid. 1.5 hrs walking was just right for us following one of the marked routes.
