We did a little detour on our way to Hamburg from Berlin to visit this Castle. So well worth it! Amazing! I have seen most of the Bavarian castles and this is on the same level. Definitely well worth the trip to Schwerin. The castle is about a 10 minute walk from the train station. Very well maintained Castle and grounds. The photos we took were sensational.

The Hercules statue is a work of art. It’s location is amazing, at the premises of the castle, overlooking the gorgeous lake. It’s a place worth visiting if you are in this gorgeous town.
