Along the way you will enjoy beautiful panorama's and drive through many storybook villages. Selection of villages and wineries varies from tour to tour. The itinerary showed and the wineries mentioned are meant as an example!

We were staying in a vacation rental north of Lyon while attending the Women’s World Cup and had initially wanted to take a Beaujolais Wine Tour on one of the off-days. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find a tour or private tour guide that wasn’t already booked. As a result, we moved further North and started looking at Burgundy wine tours. Luckily by-chance, we booked The Wines of Burgundy Day Tour with Pieter Smits. We had a wonderful tour with Pieter as we visited several villages, chateaus, and wineries. Not only were we able to sample some fine wines but Pieter also selected a restaurant where we had a great lunch. Pieter is very engaging and knowledgeable which helped make the tour very enjoyable. It's an experience I will always remember.

My friend and I took this tour as a Christmas treat to ourselves. It Is a 100% must do if in the region. Lots of local knowledge and secret spots-beat the usual tourist stuff and take this tour! We ended up buying 4 bottles of wine from the winery we loved the wine so much!

I would highly recommend this company. He was very prepared and on time and knew exactly how to make our itinerary happen. We visited Colmar and several other towns we had requested, the towns, the Christmas Markets and then had dinner in a traditional Winestub, not known by tourists and the food was amazing! He was not in a rush and we enjoyed all we could! The car was impecable cleaned but the most it can comfortably sit is 3 adults. Highly recommend!

5. Gourmet getaway in Alsace from Strasbourg
Departing from Strasbourg, we offer you a gourmet getaway on the Alsace wine route. So you will enjoy the visit of a village with a discovery of a chapel and an incredible view. Second step, a visit to a private cellar, which will be a guided tour of the cellar as well as a tasting of local wines accompanied by a meal plan with local products. The platters are a mix of cold meats and cheeses or cheese of your choice and at no extra charge. If you are accompanied by children a local apple juice will be offered to replace the wine.
