Just a stone's throw across St. Mary's River from Michigan is quaint Sault Ste. Marie, known to locals simply as "The Soo". This out of the way destination offers attractions year round, with ample downhill and cross-country skiing as well as the Bon Soo Winter Carnival during the snowy months and scenic canal and lock boat tours, kayak excursions, parks and a beautiful promenade to be enjoyed when the sun comes out. OLG Casino Sault Ste. Marie is popular with locals and visitors all year long.

A hands on museum featuring 29 planes including the 1st Beaver float plane produced. 2 award winning movies including Wildfires! A fire fighting adventure in 3-D. Take a ride in the flight simulator, climb an actual fire tower enjoy fun times in our Children's Centre. Due to the Covid-19, we will be open Wednesday to Sunday 11-5 . Masks are required. Closed Good Friday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
Situated in the original 1920' seaplane hangars at the St. Mary's river, the museum is a great glimpse into what goes into accessing and exploring the Canadian North, even today. I specifically want to point out the hands-on approach in the museum. Planes and other exhibits are not cordoned off asking visitors to stay away. You are encouraged to climb into planes, to get a feel for what it is like and to have a real experience. Well done! I would plan an hour and a half to go through.

I would have to say that for any hockey game, venue, or concert I have attended and sat in many different seats and all are great. This place is great for hockey games watching with amazing crowds all around, polite helpful and friendly staff and the cleanliness of the place is very kept up. I think I may have been the first person to attend a game with an electronic ticket on my cell phone and instead of turning me away not mowing what it was the door staff was very helpful as to gaining knowledge on this type of ticket quickly then allowing me to enter. Thanks and keep up the good work. Also if looking for a place to walk around in the rain or winter months or just to hot outside, try out this place as they allow people in on none concert and game days

Since we have our passports, my husband and I decided to cross the border to see something in Canada while staying in Sault Ste Marie. In less than 20 minutes, we were at this park. If you use Google maps, it will take you to a parking lot by Bible Fellowship Church. Do yourself a favor and put in Hiawatha Ice Cream. Just past this is another slightly hidden sign for Kinsmen Park (on the right). Follow this one track road down and you will be right at the base of the trail leading to the falls. There is a raised deck path back to them. I love waterfalls and this one did not disappoint. You can climb higher up and cross them via a small bridge. I would highly recommend coming to see this one.
