This sculpture park was intended to house the works of the designer, but the setting itself became the artist's masterwork. It is possible to visit by appointment on non-open days.
It was part of my Month long fall color trip to New England area and I was looking for something to do while in Poughkeepsie NY. Opus 40 is amazing place lots of hard work put into build the stone walls and the monument by oneman! The place is not very big but this is the place where you can take a walk and has picnic table so you can pack your picnic and enjoy.

Great place for super-fresh and well-made chocolates. Our "go-to".....which we cannot get enough of.....is dark chocolate, sea salt caramels! Try any and all of their truffles as well. Nice people....service....clearly appears to be family owned and run.

Be our guest in one of three beautiful rooms, or a private suite, complete with your own kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bath. You’ll enjoy a delicious breakfast and can explore the grounds at your leisure.
My girlfriend and I visited the sanctuary today and we had a great time. Our guide, Kaden did a tremendous job of bringing us around the farm to meet all the animals, describe their various situations and give us information about the different species. It's really a terrific way to spend a few hours, get some fresh air and learn a few things. On a side note, I'd like to address comments in some of the reviews I've read about so called " vegan lectures." We experienced no such thing. What we did learn is that all these animals, big and small have feelings, quirks and characteristics much the same as people. If that's something you can't handle for some reason? Your problem. Anyway, fantastic day! Thanks CAS!

Perfect for an easy walk. The view on the Hudson was lovely and the trail was very well marked and maintained.

This is our household's "go-to" source for amazing meats. We have been frequenting this family-owned and run establishment for over 15 years and the consistency and quality have never changed. My favorite is the skirt steak.....but my family also enjoys a mixed sausage/brat night. Also.....don't miss picking up a fresh Campanelli roasting chicken. YUM!!

Upstate NY museum (not in the town of Woodstock) that depicts the era, how the concert came to be and the 3 day show itself. A little light on period artifacts, but the story is well told. Definitely worth watching the video that runs on a 30 min cycle at the end and visiting the site. Nice store as well.

I could spend hours here! Everything you could want and more you can find here. Fresh produce, homemade soup, baked goods, jars upon jars of anything you could imagine, eggs, milk, and on and on. I didn’t even get time to go into the back to see all the plants and flowers. Vinny is one of a kind. What a wonderful man. I could also talk to him for hours, and he’d be happy to as well. We need to support our local farmers, especially in these tough times.
