Handcrafted ceramics and ceramic jewelry. In our pottery studio all pieces are hand made with local clay and decorated with glazes and lead-free colors. You may also order personalized ceramics.
Once again I online ordered a tile at Il Volo. Once again I got a quick response with suggestions and once again the potter made a beautiful tile with such delicate colors. Quick and safe delivery, I could`t wish any more.

You can travel the world for Christmas when you visit this elegant museum of nativity displays. While modest in size, the owner has managed to fill its many display cases with beautiful art from many countries. We enjoyed talking with him about the displays. Afterward, it’s a short walk from the wine bar Dopoteatro or the restaurant Da Gagliano which makes this visit to Sarteano a real pleasure. Good for couples, friends, and families with older children.

Olivi Le Buche Winery is inspired by the Tuscan tradition, with vaulted, brick-made ceiling along the whole ageing area. In order to make use of the natural humidity of the surrounding soil and rocks and to favor the process of maturation of the wines, a big part of the winery is situated under the ground level remaining perfectly integrated in the surrounding landscape. The evolution of the wines in the winery is accompanied by a constant soft sound of music, which makes the wine tasting an unforgettable experience for all the senses, not only for the palate. Nestled in the Sienese hills in the heart of the land of the Etruscans where nature remains paramount, her rolling landscape a veritable work of art, Le Buche Farm encloses 27 hectares of vineyard planted at a rate of 6,666 plants per hectare. Herein, a passionate combination of technological innovation and the classical methods of Tuscany’s master grape growers enables the production of a small number of wines

It's a steep climb up to the castle from central Sarteano but well worth the effort. The castle is well preserved and is fun to explore - many different levels and rooms with both regular stairs and a tight, ancient spiral staircase connecting all floors. In early August (the 7th to be exact) there was a photography exhibition on in the castle which filled most rooms. Other than these photos there's little else inside the castle to see. Be sure to go through the wooden door on the second floor from the top to access the terrace and turrets. Definitely worth the 3.5E admission charge. Did I mention the views - they're great.
