Just this water park was not selected by any chance - outside Oslo there are several Water Parks, but this is one called Superland, and everything with the word SUPER must be tested.
This is a Water Park with many different activities, large and small pools with several water slides, sauna and jacuzzi.
This is suitable for families with children of all ages, but would anyway kept an eye on children when some of the pools are deep and I felt that the possibility of falling into the wrong pool was present.
Several lifeguards patrolling around the park at any time and it follows that probably is Norwegian regulations.
There are 2 kinds of water slides, one for fun and one for speed. Even though I favored the one with speed, it became boring when I never found my own time, or if I could beat it. Competitive Water Park have stopwatches on the wall.
There are also pool with power, although this was disgusting deep (I could not stand upright), so it was fun to follow the flow.
The large pool for swimmers. And a small pool for the smallest - I heard that the slide in this pool had been removed.
Although the water park is indoors, it is required that the body is in constant activity in order to keep warm. There is underfloor heating, but the water in several of the pools are cool and the room itself is chilly especially if you are wet body (something you are after a tour of the pool). So immediately you start to get tired so one should find sauna or shower to regain the heat as soon as possible.
There are restaurant options, food, drinks and ice / slush. The staff were pleasant and very accommodating to make it all the cheapest possible, but after several according was bad of food, I recommended to stay away from this.
The entrance to the seaside resort situated on over 100 Norwegian kroner, which is manageable according to what one gets.
But it costs 40kr extra to get bracelet to lock the cabinet, otherwise you must have a key card which you are forced to look after themselves throughout the bathing experience, which in me made sense at all (the 40 kr you get back when exit the area).
The visit was fun, I would love to come back and do this activity again. Although the water park is cool so no one was sick, but a round of illness the following night with several were present - as mentioned suspected food when everyone started to feel it in the body at the time.
I also noticed that Superland also have several offers that apply not only swimming and water, but these I did not get chance to try out this time.

Borgarsyssel Museum holds an extensive collection of artifacts and old objects from different periods of time. In addition there are about 20 old buildings showing ostfold's history from medieval to present time. The museum was built in 1924 and is situated at the ruins of Nikolas Church from 1115.
The city is 1001 years this year. Viking king Olav the Holy as Christian Norway is and the founder of the city. The new exhibition hall holds a lot about him, including Copy of a column in Bethlehem Church. The chapel has many wooden carvings...MoreThank you for your interesting views and good review. ☺

We have 12 bowling lanes, all with automatic bumpers. An extensive beer-bar with around 200 bottles and 6 taps. Pizza restaurant, 4 shuffleboards and a pool table.
Førtito bar & bowling is a hip place both for adults and kids. At daytime the bowling, shuffleboard and billiards is in focus. But at nighttime the partying begins. They have the areas biggest inventory of beer, and good drinks to. I recomend the Aloe Vera drink!!
A fun place to visit!

It is 2000 square meters in size. As you enter the center, you are met by a suspension bridge, there are pipes you can crawl through, ball pools, trampolines, pedal cars, jumping Castles and a baby corner for the little ones. - Ready to play? Eventyrfabrikken is Scandinavia’s largest play center. At Eventyrfabrikken, moms and dads may enjoy themselves. There are wireless internet connection, a large plasma TV with the best channels, newspapers and magazines. We also have pool tables, airhockey and a cafe. What about celebrating your birthday here!? We have several birthday rooms with different themes, such as a princess, queen, knight, pirate or disco king room. We also have our very own ice cream machine where the guests can make their own ice cream.
To celebrate our sons birthday our family visited both the nearby Toys`r Us and "Eventyrfabrikken". Our family of five (two adults and three children aged 9, 7 and 2) were fully satisfied after three hours of mad fun. Especially the kids, of course.
*The Good*
Large and clean area with lots to do and absolutely NO waiting in line bar the restaurant. Even the food was served up rather quickly, especially considering the establishment being packed due to Eid Mubarak celebrations. Ample parking space, fair - even low - prices by norwegian standards and proficient personell made our stay hassle-free and memorable.
The restaurant has a simple selection of children favorites (burgers, bangers, pizza et cetera) with two notable exceptions: an impressive selection of Slush and equally well-stocked Soft-Ice bar.
*The Bad*
1: It was not easy getting the kids out, we had to resort to bribery
2: "Eventyrfabrikken" is filled by the sounds of children having a good time - somewhat loud for adult ears in other words.
*Tally*
Go - stay, and enjoy!
*Bring*
- A good book
- Credit card for restaurant purchases (about 150 kr per person should suffice)
*Pro Tip*
- Only food sold at "Eventyrfabrikken" is allowed inside, but you will not feel cheated as long as you leave your inner gourmet at home
- The premises have open WiFi, and it is possible to find less noisy hideaways

This is an old listed and fine mansion in Sarpsborg. Still in use for reseptions, but available for everyone that would like to visit the buildings or just the big sourounding park.
This is a very interesting place to visit and has a lot of history attached to it. Although a Norwegian manor home, it did operate differently from English manor homes. Fascinating stories are associated with Hafslund. Had dinner there this year during a private party. Absolutely excellent. The best commercial food I have eaten in Norway in a long time.

I wasn't sure what my Norwegian friend was taking me to see, but then she pointed out the rock carvings!! Oh my goodness! I was surprised that these rocks/boulders have not been dug up and placed in a museum, but they are right out in the open for anyone to see. These rocks are not even protected or covered. Incredible! I was so happy to be able to see these ancient rock carvings for sure!

Here you will find three downhill slopes. The longest slope measures 650 meters and has a decline of 123 meters. Good for snowboarders. Kjerringasen produces its own snow by using snow canons. From the café you have a fantastic view over the ski area. Food and hot/cold drinks are available. The parking lot is a good starting point for cross country skiing and offers beautiful hiking trails in summer.
