I lived on Siesta Key for almost a decade on Point of Rocks Road mere blocks from The Crescent Club which was established in 1949. I wish Patty was still backing the bar and maintaining order: LOL The CC is old school in decor and ambience. Scenes from the obscure movie "A Flash of Green" based on a local novel were filmed there. Siesta Key is nothing like it was when I lived there. The Village on the north end of the island is very active yet different than it was, but the Crescent Club, left after leaving the south bridge, still serves stout cocktails and beer on tap and is a most memorable place. When you visit, you might want to drop in at Captain Curt's afterward for a bite to soak up the Crescent Club beverages, or continue southward toward Turtle Beach and all that end of the Key has to offer.

My husband and I live within walking distance of this brewery. We have been here a lot and love the beer way too much!! My personal favorite is Conch Republic key lime wheat. It tastes like key lime pie liquified. You can taste all the flavors right down to the graham crackers and whipped cream. I buy it other places in town also. My second favorite would be the Raspberry Berliner or the Pumpkin Stiltskin. It is a toss up. My husband loves the IPA. The atmosphere is very laid back and you can bring your dog. There are also bands and games and many times a food truck or a movie outside. We will continue to come back for more when we are thirsty!!
