The Train of the Waters is a heritage train operated by ABPF (Brazilian Association of Railway Preservation) in Sao Lourenco - MG. The train departs from the central station of Sao Lourenco and goes to to Soledade de Minas, a total of 20 km ride (round trip). The train is pulled by an authentic steam locomotive, and in Sao Lourenco there are two locomotivas available: locomotive 327, an English Beyer Peacock Pacific (4-6-2) built in 1928 and locomotive 1424, Baldwin mikado (2-8-2) built in 1927 Mikado. The train consists of up to 8 passenger cars, with mostly heritage wooden cars and two heritage carbon steel cars. The ABPF (Brazilian Association of Railway Preservation) is a cultural character institution, instructional and recreational, non-profit, whose basic objective is to promote the preservation of historical heritage of the Brazilian railroads. The organization fighting for the preservation of railroad heritage.
