Even if you’ve never been to this Cyclades island in the Aegean Sea, you’d still recognize it immediately – candy-colored houses carved into cliffs, sapphire waters, gleaming white buildings topped with half-spheres the color of a stormy sky. Here you’ll find peace as you roam the black sand beaches or the streets of a provincial village like Imerovigli. Beautiful Oia is world famous for its sunsets, which seem tinted with every shade of an artist’s palette.

Probably the best beach experience on the island! We found a great place with large sunbeds, only 12 euro for an umbrella with two large sunbeds (4 of us could use the set). Nice music, good service, great view to some gorgeous rocks at the beach. The sand was very soft at some places, but it is black, so make sure you have something on your feet, especially at noon, when the beach is quite hot.

The cove right next to the Red beach, on the southern side of Santorini, is known as the White beach. It is very similar to the Red beach, with black pebbles on the shore, only that the surrounding cliffs are white. This beach is accessible only by boat or on foot from the Red beach.
True whit beach is accessible only by water. Amazing spot for sunbathing, snorkeling and escaping busy streets and beaches of Santorini ????????????

The road down to the beach is a bit of a dirt track so take care, places to park at bottom. A charming little beach, beds 7 euros for 2 with an umbrella in front of Mesa Pigadia Taverna. There is a little stone jetty, handy for getting into the sea. As everywhere on Santorini it's safer to wear wet suit shoes. We snorkelled and this is the only beach in Santorini where we saw much, lots of fish amongst the rocks. It's also interesting to watch the boats going past. There is a place to hire kayaks on the beach. The Taverna is definitely worth a try.

Not much of beach, but felt I had to review it as the snorkeling here is out of this world, so much that I returned the following day. Being next to the diving school, I thought it would be a good place to snorkel, but I didn't expect to feel like I was inside an aquarium. Deep- very deep, blue sea and penetrating sunlight made this a magical experience, easily accessible just before the entrance to Akrotiri village, via a steep dusty track.
