Visit Santa's Stables for a family friendly horseback riding experience, led by our trained guides! Also enjoy pony rides for the wee ones.
This was a Halloween Day Outing with my Cousin. The people here are so very friendly and HELPFUL! I hadn't been on a Horse since my late 20's! They helped me feel at ease and SAFE! We did the 45 minute Trail through a Pasture, then through the woods were there were a few "creek" areas. There were a few up-hill, down-hill - which you have to learn how to lean to "help your horse". I was on "Doughnut" and he was a Sweetie and did all the work for me really! Once my initial "fear wore off I was able to relax and enjoy it! I can't wait to go back again in the Spring. I think they closed November 1 for the Season. Wonderful Experience! (There is only a Port-a-Potty here so go before you get there if you can - not a big deal really). All of the horses are so well cared for and Healthy and seem Happy to just ride the trail with all kinds of new people on them every day. I truly LOVED this experience! Extra Shout out to Chloe who went above and beyond to calm my fear.

This post office handles up to 50,000 pieces of mail per day during the Christmas season.
We traveled to the Santa Claus Post Office from Florida to mail our Christmas cards. It’s a tiny little post office, but very important. We met a volunteer elf outside the post office as he was leaving for the day. He took our photo and told us that he and his fellow elves wrote responses to around 24,000 good little boys and girls around the world that had written to Santa at a cost of about $8000, all underwritten by donations. We were delighted to find our own card in our mailbox when we arrived home with a gorgeous Santa Claus postmark on it!! Thank you, Santa Claus Post Office!

The Historic 1935 Santa Statue is "dedicated to the children of the world." Standing 22-feet tall and weighing 40-tons, the Santa Statue just underwent a full-restoration, returning the iconic figure of Santa back to his original condition. The public is free to visit the statue during the day or when it is beautifully lit at night.
The town of Santa Claus IN was a very unique and fun visit for our family. We spent about half a day visiting the Statue/Santa Claus Museum & Village, as well as the Christmas store, Kandy Kastle and loved driving around town looking for all the Santa Statues--there are over 20. It's an very easy town to get around. Of course you have to get your photo taken with the big statue. If you really want to have some fun--all dress as Santa, as our family of 14 did--as we cruised around town.

The Santa Claus Museum & Village will operate daily until August 9th and weekend hours only until December 1! We will open again for daily operations in December. The story of Santa Claus, Indiana, comes alive at the Santa Claus Museum & Village. Explore the town's famous history in the Santa Claus Museum and pick up the perfect souvenir in the gift shop. Visit the beautiful, 1880 Santa Claus Church and the giant Santa Claus Statue, built in 1935 and standing 22-feet-tall. Spend some time in the Original Santa Claus Post Office and write your free letters to Santa. Don't forget to include your name and address... Santa and his Elves will write back in December!
Small Museum with gifts beyond what you find at the local amusement park. Also lots of items in history to teach you about our little town of Santa Claus Indiana. See how we started, how small we really are without the amusement park and the large Christmas Lake Village Development that was started in the 60s. This museum is not always open so check for their hours. If the amusement park is open, I believe they are generally open here. Only on weekends in the fall and close for the winter at the end of October. Reopen in May. The museum and the little park with buildings and statue where it is located are above and beyond the world-class amusement park. Most tourists only see the park or their Campground and don't come the extra mile around the curve and down the hill to discover this Museum and Santa's Candy Castle which are actually located on the site of the original Tiny Village of Santa Claus Indiana.

We have been here many times, this year was with a Company outing, recommend for companies to do for their employees and families. We took two boys, 8 and 9 years old. They are just starting to do the big rides and I realized there is plenty for young children, teen and pre-teens, young and old adults. Holiday World can be a two day outing to experience and get more in. We had food catered there and it was very good picnic food. It is very busy so expect lines but the rides are worth it. HAVE FUN!!
