From nuragic period, for just a little more money. Worth it.

These are simple caves used as dwellings by poor people up to 100 years ago. We were shown around by a guide who attempted to describe some features in English but the information available was limited. Still worth a visit combined the fort and Museo Etnografico

spiaggia di coaquaddus we found on our trip thrugh the island of san´antioco on the eastcoast a little bit far in the south of the village maladroxia. the beach is impossible to miss, because the islandroad leads directly to spiaggia di coaquaddus.
the beach slopes gently to the sea, the water is crystaclear and presents every shade of blue. a nice place for families with small children. it was realy a nice stop-over on our trip on this small island. the beach is not frequentated very much and offers guests who are looking for tranquillity a good possibility to let dangle the soul.also snorkelers will find a very interessting and rich underwater wildlife with a lot of species, because the beach is framed by big rocks. a perfect habitat for any kind of underwater animal.
natural shadow zones are rare and it is neccessary to bring a parasol and sun protection in the beach luggege.
there is a Beach Bar located, which rents also sunchairs and parasols. about the prices we cannot give any information.
generelly spiaggia di coaquaddus is a beautiful place to stay for a few hours or even the whole day, the place doesn´t get crowded for the whole daytime. we enjoyed our stop there very much.

What a beautiful soul! Maestro Chiara Vigo is the only one on earth doing this kind of spinning, and spun from the gel that the shell expels, that solidifies when it hits the water. It is amazing to watch her. I was overwhelmed with emotion to meet her!

We saw Semaphoro on a distant hill and having failed to find a road to it, we parked near Capo Sperone and walked up a rough track to the top where we found our goal. It was in a bad state of repair and we had to scramble over debris to get in. We sat by the metal signal pole inside and ate croissants and drank orange juice. The views were superb and we loved the old building. It was well worth the climb and a fabulous place to have breakfast. Maybe not ideal for young children or people with disabilities but great fun if you can climb in without falling down the hole in the entrance!

Beautiful basilica, but very simple. The remains of Saint Antiocus are here. As well as the ancient Catacombs under the basilica. The entrance fee is 5 euro and then you can visit the Catacombs (without a guide, but the guide opens the gate for you). The Catacombs are part of a wide spread network of Catacombs under Sant'Antioco. We enjoyed our visit, especially because it isn't very touristic and there is a nice square in front of the basilica where you can enjoy a drink.

Una vera piscina naturale.
Acqua cristallina e fondale bellussimo.
Unica pecca: non ci si puó sdraiare comodamente. Solo scogli e tutti piani.
Sicuramente ci torneró!
Troppi incivili la sporcano, lasciate pulito.

The Ethnographic Museum "Su magasinu de su binu" is housed in a typical warehouse with adjoining courtyard portico (lolla). The museum's exhibition shows the tools used in the past for the development of various trades. The sections of the exhibition are various : from the steps of bread-making process to those of viticulture and winemaking, until the more traditional craftmanship such as cooper.
One ticket covers the museum, the Ipogean Village (caves used as Punic burial grounds and later living quarters) and the fort, and a guide with adequate English. A remarkable collection and beautifully maintained sites, all the more remarkable as they are volunteer run. Three very different sites, all very interesting. Visiting all three takes under an hour.

Unfortunately, due to the lack of signage and our large car, we really only saw the tower from far away...We will need to go back.
