This unique spot boasts beautiful gardens and nature trails, as well as a jam-making kitchen.
We have been to Green Briar a couple of times now since we have been visiting in Sandwich. It is a cozy little center with beautiful wild flower gardens and a great early 20th kitchen which was utilized for making home-made jams to sell to the public. Nowadays you can sign up for a class and make various jams depending on which fruits are in season. My husband and I took the class and enjoyed it very much. Emmalee was the teacher and she is very organized and patient. By the end of class we each had five 4 ounce jars of jam to take home with us. Check out Green Briar the next time you are in the area and see what it has to offer you.

I just went here recently and have been back 2 times. I love the drive through the canopy of trees. It is free, but don't forget the quarters! You get fish food to feed the fish. When you first walk to the open cement pools, you get to see sample of huge rainbow and brown trout. Walk more to the left and there is a sign with the history of the Hatchery and the different stages of the fish. There are also two gum ball machines full of fish food. The different tanks have different size fish. You will get a laugh, tossing in a few pieces of fish kibble. The fish will swarm.

This scenic stretch of beach on charming Cape Cod is perfect for relaxing, birdwatching and hiking.
Thursday October first, what better day to sit on the beach. Clean and well maintained, so glad to spend time here, watching the boats, little kids and gentle waves. Water was only 60 degrees so only my toes went in.

We've been going to this campground for year. One of the best state parks we've camped. Campsites are good size and most have space and trees between them with privacy. Very quiet except you can here the traffic on Rt 6. The firewood isn't that great. Won't burn unless you cut it up smaller. The campstore (which I was told was privately owned) sells the wood at a higher cost than the other MA state parks. If you buy 5 bundles it is cheaper. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. They are building a new and much nicer playground. Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming.

Went for a late summer beach day with my 15 year old son. Didn’t want to drive too far and wanted to use my mass state park pass. After a little research decided to try this beach. So happy I did! You don’t have to go over the bridge so not sure if it’s technically on the Cape, but it’s nicer than some of the beaches over the bridge. The day was beautiful, the waves were pretty good, not much seaweed, clear water-not too cold. I loved the dunes and the jetty! There weren’t big crowds. Once you got past the initial entry from the boardwalk it really opened up so social distancing was not an issue. Great beach-we’ll be back!
