San Diego embodies laid-back California culture, complete with a Boardwalk, surfing communities, and outstanding Mexican food. Breathe in the fresh ocean air at Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, then gobble down a fresh fish taco at a La Jolla seafood joint. The naval aircrafts at the USS Midway Museum will have you standing at attention. A free Sunday concert at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion is the perfect way to unwind after a Saturday night bar-hop in the thumping Gaslamp Quarter.

This was a great activity for our week long trip in SD. The detention room was fun and very doable for our family which includes kids 7 and 9 years old. Our person was Cailee and she was a pleasure to work with. She was very engaging. Highly recommended

An incredibly fun and unique competition where you'll find out if your detective skills are good enough to solve a murder... Each team is given a list of suspects along with a packet of tricky clues, twisted riddles & mind-bending puzzles. Our clues will systematically lead you to explore Old Town San Diego. Using your wits and creativity, each location will reveal another piece of your investigation. Something you're given, along with something in the environment, will allow you to piece together evidence and you'll eliminate suspects until you've discovered... Whodunnit? Your team will compete against up to ten other teams scattered throughout Old Town, each leading their own separate investigation. The team that solves for the murderer needing the least help from headquarters wins! You don't need to be familiar with the area or have any specialized knowledge to win. It's a great way to tour Old Town. Our events are designed for adults! Most other companies give you clues that are solved immediately upon viewing the object you're looking for. Our clues are meant to be challenging, so be prepared to think like a detective... Don't be intimidated... Most teams succeed at solving most of the clues, and there is a helpline in case you get stuck. The game lasts about 3.5 hours and involves traveling about 2 miles on foot. Allow extra time for signing-in at the beginning and socializing at the end. There is no age limit, but the game is likely too mentally challenging for children under 12. This is also a perfect activity for corporate outings and teambuilding events that can be booked any day of the week.
Great for a group to participate. Like an escape room but played outside with lots more puzzles to solve and 10 time the fun. Tremendously inventive. We plan to do ALL of the Murder Mystery Scavenger Hunt games in Southern California.

Escape to a divergent reality! Your experience begins from the moment you enter the door until the moment you leave. Your objective is to complete missions as an Agent Recruit for the Divergent Realities Bureau. You and your team of Divergent Realities Investigative Field Team (D.R.I.F.T) Agents will be taking on missions assigned by the famous, yet seldom seen, "The Director." You'll have a support team from Headquarters (HQ) providing you backup as needed to assist you along the way for each mission. Divergent Realities is escape game inspired. All missions are privately reserved for your group only! You will NOT be grouped with other people. No one will be jumping out at you. No one other than the people in your group will be in any of the rooms with you. Two types of Missions are available: "Sitting Duck" for groups of 1-3, and "The Informant" for groups of 3-8. You can book online at our website and see our live calendar (availability is updated every minute)!

Crack the lock. Beat the clock. Locked in a room, you and your friends have 60 minutes to decrypt all the codes and assemble the clues to discover the way out. Mom told you that you could do anything if you put your mind to it. Was she right? Do you have what it takes to escape?

The Budapest Express escape room was one of the more challenging escape rooms that we have done. Nevertheless, it was fun and made us really scramble to get out in time :) Big shout out to Augustus who helped us with the hints... the hints were very helpful without really giving it away. I would recommend this room to a group who has escaped other rooms before (not for beginners).

Bookings by appointment only. Can you escape in time? At Escape Era, a brand-new escape game in San Diego, California, a team of 2-10 players races against the clock to solve puzzles and escape a locked room in under 60 minutes! Now featuring Deja Vu and Dreamscape Arcade. Tickets are $35 each for 2-3 people, $32 each for 4 people and $27 each for groups of 5 or more people.
My friends and I, all first timers, visited Escape Era to play our first-ever escape rooms yesterday. Overall, the experience was great: the room was interesting, the staff was very welcoming, and we managed to escape! We did the Deja Vu room and our group of 4 managed to solve it in ~50 minutes. There are a lot of fun surprises throughout; I would definitely say that this room is good for people of all skillsets and experiences. Michael, the member helping us, was awesome throughout. He made us feel very comfortable (as first-timers) and helped create a sense of mystery around the experience. I should also note that unlimited hints are offered, so every effort is made to ensure that you will escape!
