San Diego embodies laid-back California culture, complete with a Boardwalk, surfing communities, and outstanding Mexican food. Breathe in the fresh ocean air at Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, then gobble down a fresh fish taco at a La Jolla seafood joint. The naval aircrafts at the USS Midway Museum will have you standing at attention. A free Sunday concert at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion is the perfect way to unwind after a Saturday night bar-hop in the thumping Gaslamp Quarter.

A mind-bending show! Days later you keep thinking "How the heck did they do that?!" It's not magic, it's improv! Our highly skilled improvisors take comedy to the next level. Every show is unique and different from the others because everything we do (with your help) is made up on the spot - EVERYTHING! No scripts, no safety nets...just pure creativity and fun. And yes, all ages welcome!

The National Comedy Theatre is San Diego's nationally acclaimed improv comedy show and the longest running show in the history of the city. Performances every Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 & 9:45 p.m. and Sundays at 7:30 p.m.
My wife and I were looking for something to do during the night other than going to a smoky bar. I learned of the NCT online and decided to give it a shot. The theater was small, but very nice and comfortable. All the employees and performers were very nice, very friendly and very fun. We had a great time! The improv show was very professionally put together and the college students simply did an excellent job. We were very impressed with these young comedians. We will certainly return.

Been coming here for a few months now and I've never been disappointed by the service or by the shows. The food is amazing and authentic, the drinks are generous and well priced, show tickets are usually cheap in comparison to many other spots, staff is wonderful and I could go on and on. I always bring my friends here and will continue to do so. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Just for laughs: this club features a comedy show nightly with an open microphone on Sundays.
We went to see Fortune Feimster for my birthday and we had a great time! She was amazing!!! We got great seats and our server was really nice and attentive. Usually Comedy Club service is horrible, but not here. The only thing that was not funny about my experience was the doorman. He had no personality, and did not make you feel welcome to be there. Excellent Comedy Club otherwise!

The World Famous Mad House Comedy Club offers the very best in live stand up comedy 7 nights week. Full bar and a full kitchen with an awesome menu. We're located in the historic Gaslamp Quarter of downtown San Diego. It's a comedy club owned, staffed, and run by stand up comedians so you know you're getting the best!
We had a great night at the Mad House comedy club. I read the other reviews and can attest that there were no homophobic jokes. We saw the 8 comedian "train" and it was really fun. We ended up being the only ones there by about 1:30am and rather than shutting down the comedians included us in their acts. My husband is a strong introvert and he had a blast! You can sit in the front row and not be annihilated. The group was kind, fun and there was a sense of family and comraderie present. Overall it was an awesome experience and we hope to go back.
