We were so glad we decided to do this walk! One of our highlights from the trip. Right up the top with the trench and Lalomanu beach. Short and sweet but very sweaty! Took us approximately an hour with stops for photos but we were lucky the gates were open- otherwise it would have been a long walk! Weaved through the beautiful rainforest and openings and viewing points were spectacular. Lava fields were great to walk out on and get closer to the cliff edge. No fences and steep drops so needed care whilst walking and on the fields. Clearly marked path made the walk easy. Track down to the walk best suited for 4WD as it was quite rough. Narrow road and not a lot of parking at the end but we were the only ones there so didn’t bother us!

A gorgeous and peaceful place to visit with beautiful gardens. The temple is inspirational with quotes on all nine sides. It is a very soothing place worth a stop off.

Most roads seem to end up there. Familiar and easy to find landmark built in memory of those Samoans sacrificed in WWI. A great resource if you are crossing the dateline from American Samoa, or just plain jet-lagged from coming the other way.

Such beautiful turtles ???? and at only $7 per person to go and see them up close and be able to hop in for a swim why wouldn’t you go. You get given a bowl of pawpaw/papaya to feed the turtles also with this charge. My mum and sister absolutely loved seeing the turtles and feeding them, this was the highlight of the trip for them and also the cute little boy who was with his mum, his name is MJ and he will happily come hang out with you lol.
