The most wonderful surprise. A space that is magnicent. Upstairs there is a wonderful Hockney exhibition as well as displayed pieces of contemporary and vintage china alongside wonderful pieces of furniture for sale. Nice cafes and concessions as well as an antique shop and fabulous bookshop...wonderful. The surrounding area is a joy too... can't recommend highly enough for a great day out solo, with friends or as a couple....wouldn't bring youngsters but older kids would be fine.

Victoria Hall is a Grade II* Listed venue in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Saltaire. We opened in 1871 by Sir Titus Salt, as a centre for recreation, culture and learning for his villagers. Today, the venue is owned by the Saltaire Foundation - a charitable trust. We're a wedding, celebration, meeting and conference venue, and a hub for public events and classes.
It was wonderful to hear the Wurlitzer organ at Saltaire. A grand old building. It was an enjoyable afternoon.

I ate an early dinner here on a Saturday with a friend and two children each. One daughter loved the pizza (great size from children's menu) and other daughter loved the sausages. Both loved the cookie dessert. I loved my fish and chips! We had been swimming so all very hungry. Our waitress, Maria, was very helpful and friendly, and when we accidentally overpaid by splitting our bill incorrectly, she came to bring the cash (we hadn't even realised). The only downside is I'm not keen on the atmosphere/decor in the dining area - something not quite right, but I do feel very comfortable and relaxed there with children. Prefer the bar area. We will return soon for the great food and service.

We have visited this anitiques emporium on several occasions previously and brought a visitor from Australia here in the New Year. Each time we have found absolute bargains and this time was no exception. It displays an incredible mix and range of furniture, jewellery, pictures and general household objects and our guest was fascinated! Well worth a visit - but give yourself plenty of time to look for those bargains!
