A single artist gallery on one of Canada's Gulf Islands. Really an Art Lovers Getaway. Jill travels and paints in various parts of the world. She has many collections on her website and over 300 paintings currently in print. Jill has had galleries of her own for more than 20 years. Her personal gallery on Salt Spring Island is definitely the best place to view her art plus have a chance to meet in person. She paints primarily in watercolour but that tends to be just the start as she then incorporates prayer flags... Pen and ink... Gold leaf and whatever gives the effect she is seeking. Always vibrant and uplifting. The gallery is now open daily in the summer and three days a week the rest of the year.

Small batch spirits crafted with 100% B.C. honey. We are a small, family owned artisanal distillery. Made from the fermentation of local honey, all our spirits are crafted and bottled by hand here on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia. With intricate, smooth flavours derived from the finest ingredients, our spirits are infused with originality and meticulous care.
Small place off the main road, worth the trek. Spirits made from honey, all very smooth. The Apple Pie deviates a bit from pure spirits due to all of the flavours, and it was delish. The owner clearly is passionate about what he does, and it shows in his product.

We had no idea what to expect but glad we drove up the hill. The ‘Train Controller’ was very informative and his passion for trains a joy to watch. The show was fun to watch and full of humour, what an amazing train set...a 40 year love in the making.

Salt Spring Island Cheese Company makes both sheep and goat milk cheeses. Come visit us on the farm where we are located, and sample all of our cheeses. There are windows into every room of our facility, so you can also see the entire cheesemaking process from start to finish.
This was one of the stops on our Salt Spring Island Tour and we really enjoyed it. The tasting itself was yummy with some great recommendation from the staff. You can wander around and visit the goats, view the making and packaging process. There are cheese and other items available for sale from the tasting room. An unexpected surprise was a really good quality lunch with a selection of sandwiches, pizza and soup. They conveniently provide you a buzzer once you place your order so you can continue to explore until lunch is ready.

1st time at Salt Spring Island Ales. It's a cool place to visit. Upon arriving you park the car and walk up a path to a house, take the stairs to the top and there you will find the tasting room. They also offer outside seating! My friend and I each had our own flights which consists of 5, 3 ounces glasses of beer which you choose. Devon and Megan were our hosts. Both were very friendly and knowledgeable. We we're the only two there at the time so it was nice to chat with Devon and Megan about the Island and things that go on there. Devon was really cool he looked up a type of candy that tasted like one of the beers we tried. Astro Pops, a candy that they no longer make. I ended up buying a bottle of the Dry Porter to take back home with me and a mango jalapeño jam. Over all cool experience, great selection of interesting beers and wonderful friendly service. Will definitely go back.
