Salt Spring Shine

Small batch spirits crafted with 100% B.C. honey. We are a small, family owned artisanal distillery. Made from the fermentation of local honey, all our spirits are crafted and bottled by hand here on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia. With intricate, smooth flavours derived from the finest ingredients, our spirits are infused with originality and meticulous care.

Small place off the main road, worth the trek. Spirits made from honey, all very smooth. The Apple Pie deviates a bit from pure spirits due to all of the flavours, and it was delish. The owner clearly is passionate about what he does, and it shows in his product.

Salt Spring Vineyards

This was the second visit for my wife and I, definitely as great as the first time. Delicious wine and snacks that were reasonably priced for the high quality that they are. The lady doing the wine tasting was a pleasure to talk with, social distancing measures were in place and effectively executed, very impressed with how they improvised. Bought a bottle of vino and relaxed in the picnic area next to the vineyard and a beautiful pond complete with a lovely duck for company. You are all doing a fabulous job there and we will be back 100% on our next visit to Salt Spring.

Salt Spring Island Ales

1st time at Salt Spring Island Ales. It's a cool place to visit. Upon arriving you park the car and walk up a path to a house, take the stairs to the top and there you will find the tasting room. They also offer outside seating! My friend and I each had our own flights which consists of 5, 3 ounces glasses of beer which you choose. Devon and Megan were our hosts. Both were very friendly and knowledgeable. We we're the only two there at the time so it was nice to chat with Devon and Megan about the Island and things that go on there. Devon was really cool he looked up a type of candy that tasted like one of the beers we tried. Astro Pops, a candy that they no longer make. I ended up buying a bottle of the Dry Porter to take back home with me and a mango jalapeño jam. Over all cool experience, great selection of interesting beers and wonderful friendly service. Will definitely go back.

Salt Spring Wild Cider

Salt Spring Wild Cider makes a variety of tasty craft ciders, located on a picturesque farm over looking the mountains. Enjoy a flight of the various ciders offered, and a delicious lunch from the tapas menu. Children and friendly dogs are most welcome! A must see attraction for anyone visiting Salt Spring Island!

We stopped into Wild Cider on our first night on Salt Spring and were hooked by their tasting flight of amazingly unique and creatively infused ciders, which lured us back for a return visit the following evening. This time we tried their top-notch charcuterie board made with delicious local cheeses and a couple of the sharing dishes which did not fail to impress. The experience was only enhanced by the warm, cosy wooden atmosphere of the restaurant itself, coupled with a great music selection and rich sound system. Our server Will took good care of us and possessed great knowledge of the menu. We will definitely be back soon.
