The Albergue Olimpico German Rieckhoff, named after the founder, is the most complete sports center in all America. Since the foundation in 1983, it has housed around 45 facilities for different sports training and activities, including an athletic center, physical training gym, shooting ranges, baseball, soccer, and softball fields, tennis courts, an aquatic center, large green areas, and much more. These premises are not the only thing the Albergue Olimpico has to offer. The place also houses a boarding school specialized in sports for young athletes, a botanical garden, and various water parks. Another main attraction is the Puerto Rico Olympic Museum, which contains every important detail of the island's history in sports.
If you go with children, your first stop should be Isla Chiquitines or Villa Enchumba. Both are water parks with water jets, bridges and water slides. The Villa Enchumba area has nine eating areas and a communal center that you can rent to celebrate activities. In both parks there are bathrooms and dressing rooms.
For young people and adults, there is the Ola Marina park whose main attraction is a huge wave pool. It also has a pool with frills and an area with "chorritos", or water jets, for toddlers.
