Skirentalshop located in Saelen-village. Owned by former members of the Swedish Alpine National Team. We offer you a wide range of skis to match your ability. And we do take good care of the skis, making sure they are waxed, and the edges sharp at all times. Maximising your skiing experience is our goal.

Housed at the Wasa Fjällgård Hotel in Salen, I dedicated the 24th of December to the ice rink, Skistar Salen. Quite close to Salen, it was easy to find a house that provided us with all the equipment to practice Ski for a very reasonable price. Arriving to sky lane and equipped, we climbed the elevators and tried to give the least number of falls, even in the easier lane. It's "painful" to see 3/4 year old kids passing us by at speed .... We ended up sore and hungry at Mac Donalds. Great Day !!

It's July so there's no skiing for us. The mix of hiking trails close to the various skiing areas offers a nice mix variety of paths suitable for inexperienced and serious hikers. There are also plenty of trails suitable for cross country and downhill cyclists. But that's got nothing to do with how we ended up in Hundfjallet today. As regular Pokemon Go players we've been shocked at the lack of pokestops and absence of gyms in Lindvallen. Hundfjallet more than made up for this with at least 5 gyms and 10 stops starting in the car park and then winding up through the entertaining Trollskogen. Trollskogen has numerous carvings, displays and decorated trees. Many are troll based with fun scenes and some audio (Swedish only). In the winter this would be fun for kids and big kids to ski down. If you've ever skied in the Björnen area of Åre then you'll have some idea of what to expect. Whilst the area is very quiet at this time of year there is a waffle cafe at the foot of the trail that is open until 4.00 p.m.

For being a small Swedish ski resort Kläppen offers plenty of different slopes. As a difference from the slopes around Lindvallen you can ski on more than one side of the mountain which gives more variation. Some rather steep slopes but basically a great place for skiers on all levels. The gondola is a very nice addition as you now can get up on the mountains sitting down and without freezing. However, at our last visit the gondola was closed due to strong wind.
