One of the best waterfalls I have ever seen. The drive is not easy to get from the main road to the falls but once you get there it is worth the drive. The perfect place to bring some music, food and drinks to just hang for the entire day.

According to the GPS, it should have taken 1.5 hours from where I stay but I think 1 hour of that was spent driving through the sugarcane field. You can drive a regular car but it’s probably best with a 4x4. Once you do get to the point of no return the lighthouse is beautiful and the ride through the field is filled with cows, goats, pelicans, oh my!!!. The lighthouse keeper was a pleasant and very friendly and willing to give information on the lighthouse. I would recommend some sort of takeaway literature or even a souvenir (magnet of the lighthouse or even a T-shirt) they won’t go bad. So even if 2 people visit for the entire year they would have something for memories and it would generate some revenue for the property/country. There are beaches along the drive that will ease the long ride. The views are magnificent and it’s something different to do.

If you’re ever on route to the East side of Jamaica check out the Roselle water falls and seaside which is parallel to the natural spring water fall it’s absolutely brilliant! Make sure to travel with your swimsuit as it’s literally on the roadside. I’ve been visiting the falls from I was a child and still love it. It’s free so why not drop by and take a dip you won’t regret it.
