Guests will depart from Roseau to the Emerald Pool driving through Canefield arriving at the Emerald Pool. This wonderful waterfall grotto is located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Morne Trois Piton National Park. An easy 30-minute hike takes the guests through magnificent overhanging trees and lush vegetation to the pool, which appears green in the tree-filtered sunlight. Guests will be able to go for a dip, and swim right up to the waterfall! On the way back there are two view points where the Atlantic Coast and Morne Laurent can be seen to the left, rising to an elevation of 2,248 ft. Breathtaking! Following the visit of the Emerald Pool, guests will go to the Trafalgar Falls. It is a short 10 to 15 minute walk along a well-maintained path from the Visitor Reception centre, where you can photograph both falls from a viewing platform. The more daring can continue on to swim in the refreshing waters of the smaller waterfall or find the hot springs at the tallest falls.

Diving in Dominica will make you feel like you’re living in an aquarium. I can’t even describe how many wonders of the water you will see and discover. Before we get into that, a little disclaimer: I am a beginner certified diver(under 10 total dives) so we went right into the dive rather than taking a refresher course or becoming certified with PH Whale Watch & Dive. (They have this option as well to become certified) BUT, I haven’t dived in a few months and it was in the fridges waters of the Pacific Ocean (Monterey California). So, we went over our pre-dive plan and Harry (the owner & master diver) informed me that he will assess how I do underwater and go from there. It took a little used to getting under the water again but after I was comfortable (with Harry’s help) the dive was magical from there. Our first dive was Scott’s Head. So many beautiful, colorful fish, coral of all shapes and sizes, it was like being part of finding Nemo movie! My wife snorkeled the same time I scuba dived and she even said it was the best snorkeling she’s ever done and we even have snorkeled at the famous champagne beach in Dominica too! It was a short dive/snorkel time (40 minutes)wise for us. We thought we were done. Thankfully, we weren’t. After some very valuable pointers for me about my breathing, and some more hand signals, Our second dive/snorkel was at a place called Witches Point. We thought at Scott’s head was the best, until we dove here. This area was more magical than the first. So many more species of marine life that we couldn’t stop staring. My wife and I were both mesmerized by the magic the sea life gave us. We both were lost in the moment. Oh, I forgot to mention that while my wife was snorkeling and I was scuba diving, Harry’s wife (Pam- co-owner and the P in PH whale watch & Dive) was lion fish hunting. She is a spear/lion fish instructor. So you can also arrange that with them if you’d like. We couldn’t have arranged our magical moment, our spectacular scuba and snorkel, the friendly owners and staff, a lifetime of memories without the help of PH Whale Watch & Scuba. You wouldn’t regret your choice! We didn’t. Darren and Sasha Mendenhall IG: @stwi2020

Remember you are in a rain forrest. Most of the terrain will be wet or damp. That said it is just beautiful and breathtaking. The Falls are wonderful. However, to get to the Emerald pool you had better be wearing some form of water shoe with tread. We saw some people struggle getting into the pool itself. Again, the beauty is just incredible and the tour is worth the money. The money spent here is better than going to the volcanic beaches
