We took a long weekend to visit Quebec City in November 2017 and visited Parc Bora on our last day before heading home to Maine. We spent about 7 hours in the water park without stopping, it was so much fun- both for us (the bigger slides and the wave pool and surfing thing) and our young son. Our 3 year old, a water kid through and through, had a blast. When it was time to go we stopped to have dinner in the adjoining cafe and he looked longingly toward the park, saying "I miss it already!" The facilities were very clean and well kept, and life vests are provided for little kids. It would have been fun to make it an adults-only trip, too, but the look of wonder and delight on our son's face was beyond worth it. We will definitely be back.

Chill out at the Hotel de Glace, the only ice hotel in North America, open January to March. It's made entirely of ice and snow. Explore the architectural marvel and its many rooms: Great Hall, chapel, ice slide and Ice Bar.
This trip was on my Bucket List of places to visit/travel to, and things to do. I visited this ice hotel this past Sunday, February 16, 2020. This place is like a winter wonderland. It has a real ice bar and glasses made of pure ice of which the bartender pours any types of drinks, such as alcoholic beverages and/or sodas, but definitely not hot beverages. This place is definitely a work of art. The chambers/bedrooms are made completely out of ice and snow, with various carvings in the walls, different ice sculptures and carvings, with different themes in each chamber/bedroom. The beds have mattresses that are placed on top of bed platforms which are made completely of pure solid ice. Reportedly, one may rent out one of these chambers/bedrooms for approximately $300.00 USD per night; however, be prepared to stay in the ice hotel from 9:00 pm until 9:00 am the following morning. There is NO TV, and NO bathroom or place to wash up, any where within this ice hotel, and you must sleep on these beds in all of your clothes, and a specially Thermal made sleeping bag. There is no kitchen or place for running water to drink water if you need or place to cook food or to eat. This place is absolutely fantastic!!! Nice place to visit, but I definitely would not like to stay overnight in one of those chambers/bedrooms. Definitely a place to go if you love the snow and the cold. I had a fabulous time here! I'm glad that I visited the Hotel de Glace.

We were actually spending the week in Quebec City proper, but our hotel lacked a pool. We found out about this water park within easy driving distance so we spent the day here (10 am-4 pm). It was early October, so off-peak season for sure. As others have mentioned, there were enough people here that it didn't seem weird, but few enough that there were no lines for any of the slides. The air and water temperature were fine, and we really enjoyed the wave pool (with its frequent waves) and the "lazy" river that wasn't very lazy at all. A good selection of water slides ensured we weren't bored at all during our visit. The one catch was that we showed up without towels. However, the park only supplies towels to hotel guests. The locals know about this and so they all showed up with their own. Being from out of town, we were out of luck and had to purchase towels from the park. Each towel was $10 CAD after tax and aren't exactly high quality. We were mildly put out by this, but it was the only (somewhat expensive) hiccup on what was otherwise a wonderful day.
