Christian Corbet and Joel Aldred are excellent teachers. They certainly know how to make a person feel at ease. My friends and I have been going for more than 6 months and absolutely love it. These are just a few of my pieces.

Originally built as a tannery then converted to a carriage factory around 1850 by the Campbell family and operated until 1949, the site was restored and converted to a museum in 1999. The factory is an outstanding example of 19th century manufacturing and the only existing original carriage factory in Canada. The site is dedicated to “The Horse Era of Tantramar.” The site is designated as both a provincial and a national historic site.

New Brunswick boasts a strong shipbuilding tradition. Visitors to Sackville can explore this aspect of the province’s industrial past at the Boultenhouse Heritage Centre, named after the town’s most prolific shipwright, Christopher Boultenhouse. The Centre consists of three buildings — a farmhouse built by the Bulmer family ca. 1790 which is the first frame and oldest house in Sackville, a house built in the Greek revival style in 1842 by Boultenhouse, and the Anderson Octagonal House ca. 1855 by sea captain Georg Anderson. The Centre has several exhibit rooms, a gift shop, a research and genealogy centre, and a multipurpose meeting room.
