We took a picnic to Lara Falls in Green Mountain National Forest yesterday and had the best time! In our group were a three-year-old, a six-year-old, a 35-year-old and a 65-year-old. We all were able to hike the uphill trail with no problems. Many beautiful overlooks and places to wade in the stream along the way. Mosquitoes were a problem in the shaded areas and there was some mud from a recent rain, but you can do the hike in sneakers. Highly recommended!

A very friendly, accommodating staff that handles every request with zeal; there's an expanding collection of CD and DVD's; lots of computer terminals for library searches and web searches; programs everyday of various natures; and a large number of free books in the lobby.

The store in conveniently located next to the Best Western where we were staying. There is a path between Buildings 1 and 2 so you don't have to walk on the road. The store has the typical magnets and hats and tshirts, etc., but it also has some nice crafts as well. Prices are reasonable and there really is something for everyone.
