September 1, 2018 I had the pleasure of giving my daughter hand in marriage to wonderful young man. We had the wedding ceremony at The Green River Plantation and had a fabulous time with family and friend. The owners of the plantation handled the details of the venue perfectly. The Plantation was beautiful and made for excellent pictures. They provided an excellent coordinator and a DJ to provide the music during the ceremony, which we hired for the wedding reception. Our wedding was planned for outdoors and due to weathers concerns it shift to the pavilion and it was done flawlessly. They offer an outdoor, pavilion, and indoor option that turned out to be beneficial since the weather had changed. The owners also offer facilities for the wedding reception; they made the Wedding cake, which was not only beautiful but also delicious. We also hired them provided food and service, which was excellent. I would highly recommend this place to anyone for their wedding or event, they are truly FIVE STAR.

Come to the foothills of the blue ridge mountains and meet our herd of Angora Goats. At Cherry Mountain Farm you will learn about the history of this beautiful breed and their Mohair fiber. You can give them treats of peanuts and animal crackers and enjoy their comical antics. Come spend the day or starting in May spend the weekend at our Airbnb there is lots to see at the Goat Farm.

This is a must see if you are in the area of Chestnut Forge & Furniture at Cherry Mountain Farm. They have an awesome market with great to gift ideas. They do custom metal work and design, truly amazing to see the high level of craftsmanship. But the favorite part for my 4 and 1 year old, was their Goat Farm. The kids loved seeing the goats, farm dogs, cats, big farm tractor and horses. They are still talking about it over a month later. This is an absolute must go to if you are looking for a fun activity for your kids.

We had an amazing time on our 2 hour river and mountain trail ride. Our guide was great and we all had a blast! Sore bottoms and wet legs were WELL worth it for this experience. The horses were so sweet and it was funny to see all their (very) different personalities! We came a few years ago and rode 2 of the same horses (out of 4) and will be back again in the future. Loved everyone here!

The tour guide was excellent. Knowledgable and excited to share the history of gold mining in North Carolina. The story of Christopher Betchler and his mint is a little known, but important part of history!
