We went round the museum first which is a few minutes walk away from the main building. Lots of old barrels of Brandy which was unexpected, and then a wonderful old house and the patio with it's pots and flowers, ponds and fountains. Followed this with the distillery tour (well a mock up of one) but very interesting and samples of the different types of Anis they make. Obviously you end up in the shop where you can purchase if you want to. Well worth the effort to see if you are in the area with a couple of hours to spare.

If you are in Rute this place is worth a visit, the cost to go in 5€ is refunded if you buy in the shop at the end of the tour. It is a surprise to see so many buildings, people, churches etc made in sugar. The skill level to create these exhibits was amazing, we particularly loved the replica of Malaga Cathedral. You will not be disappointed visiting here.
