Great daytime farm experience for all ages! We went with a group and our young tour guide, Lizzie was very sweet & informative. We did the farm & garden tour & hayride where we got to feed & pet farm animals, milk a cow, learn about their upkeep, walk through & taste a garden of seasonal vegetables & personally drive a hayride drawn by horses. Highly recommend!

Visiting this Amish family farm was the highlight of our stay in the Lancaster area. Sadie, the 14-year old daughter, who escorted us on the 'tour' was a joy, educating us and answering all of our questions about the farm as well as Amish family life. She led us through the barn to meet and feed the animals: the baby pigs, the horse and mules (the biggest mules you have ever seen) who eat raw spaghetti, the baby goats which we held for several minutes, milking the cow, the calves who sucked on my fingers when they wanted more, the chickens to whom we fed alfalfa, the baby chicks, more pigs and turkeys. And the freshly laid eggs (still warm) and different colors. Kyra (sp?) the collie puppy joined us throughout and was a great deal of fun. Well worth the $13 price.

This farm offers the Maize Maze attraction in 10-foot-high corn stalks.
We had a great time at Cherry Crest. My toddlers loves the experience. They loved the petting zoo and wagon ride and the alpine slide and the pedal carts. They enjoyed the mini village, holding a chic and all the rest of the stuff. Its a great place for kids of all ages. They have many activities that are geared towards different age groups so everyone gets something fun to do. The staff are super nice and friendly and that makes the experience so much more pleasant! I would very much recommend families to go there and would love to visit again. Just one piece of advice- check the weather before going. We went on a very hot day (over 90 degrees fh) and I would not recommend anyone else to do so. There are lots of open fields and everything is outdoors. They do have two big fan mists that helped cool the kids but it was not enough to help with the heat. But my kids had a great time anyway!

Every time we visit we stop here every since we found this place several years ago. They have some of the best whoopie pies. I usually will buy a dozen to take home. I put them in the freezer then when I want one I just take it out. Also the homemade lemonade is great. You can buy a single serving or a quart. They sale a lot of different things like homemade root beer, cheeses, homemade chips, jellies, crafts, quilts, etc. I actually bought a quilt on this past visit. I have been going there so long I have seen the children grow over the years. They also have miniature horses you can find or get a ride on. They also have some goats to feed if you like as well.
