Ronda’s most striking feature is the Puente Nuevo, which spans a gorge over 300 feet deep. Can you guess when the "new bridge" was built? 1793. That should give visitors an idea of how unchanged Ronda has been over the years. It’s also known as the birthplace of modern bullfighting. The town’s bullfighting ring is only used once a year, at the Feria Goyesca, but it’s also a museum where you can learn about the history of this traditional (yet controversial) sport.

The museum has a large collection of different items, cameras, jewels, typewriters, electrical goods and a basement with witchcraft and holy inquisition items, this is a personal collection built up over a long time. It's possible to take photos and ride on carriage. You can complete your visit with our audioguides in spanish, english, french or german.
Amazing museum, absolutley huge private collection, a must if in Ronda. Everything from ancient coins to dagerotypes from ages past, history, memorabilia, the santa inquision is incredibly gory and darkly portraied. It will take a while, it is worth every penny...4 euros!

Arrived at 11 to be told by the owner to come back after 2 after the large tour groups had left. Great suggestion. Returned at 3 with a short tour then a very personalised talk through the wines of the region. Great value with wines and a cheese and jamon plate for 15 euros. Then left to sample various other vintages and styles at our own pace. Great option if your legs need a rest from the hills of Ronda.
