We were among the first to go on a tour (back in the school bus days) so much has changed.. Deer are being well cared for.. lots to see.. As are the beaver and eagles. Loved the new info shared by the guide .. history gathered from other visitors which enhance the experience.. our 20 yr old sons were amazed by the military history as well as the preserved nature.. an interesting combination for all.

A combination of winery and restaurant located on the slopes of Cayuga Lake; the location plays a vital role in creating the best micro-climate for the Knapp vineyards. Knapp produces over thirty types of wine including cordials and aperitifs. Enjoy outstanding Rieslings, Cabernet Francs, Chardonnays and much more. Wines made to suit a variety of palates. The vineyard restaurant, which is open from April through October, opens to a vineyard patio that faces west with a spectacular view of our Saperavi vines. Chef creates food using as many local products to ensure a true Finger Lakes wine country experience.
Out of the multiple places that we visited on the Cayuga Wine Trail this place was BY FAR our Favorite. It was $10 for 6 samples & cheese. The owner and our host were both amazing ~ they didn't mind our humor and they gave it right back to us. We had a DD if we needed her and the owner came over gave her, her own snacks and sparkling wine (age18) ~ No other place even acknowledge her!!! It really made her day as well as the rest of ours ~ well done! And the wine between 3 of us we tried 18 wines and EVERY single wine was GREAT ~ you can easily go home with a case or two ~ we didn't stop at one case! AMAZING PLACE WELL DONE!!!

Whether you come by boat, car, or bus, Goose Watch Winery is the place to visit on Cayuga Lake. Unlike any other winery in the Finger Lakes, Goose Watch steers away from typical blends and specializes in unique and exclusive wines that have claimed numerous gold medals at international competitions. To compliment the pristine wines, Goose Watch Winery provides lake access with its boat dock and premium picnic facilities for an ideal wine tasting experience.
This was one of our favorite wineries in Cayuga Lake. The location is beautiful and they bring you the wines to taste with a view to the lake. There is no great explanation about the wines, unfortunately. But our experience was excellent. We took our time with the tasting and the wines were delicious. Bought three bottles.

This was our favorite winery! It is set up on a hill with lots of picnic tables and tends to socially distance. You go up and order the flight of wine that you would like and each set of flights comes with a sampling of either a jam or a butter as well as some bagel crisps. The general store is filled with lots of goodies and we tried the boozy balls which were delicious and a great dessert after our wine tasting. I would like it if the jams and butters would come in smaller containers to purchase because I would’ve purchased a number of smaller containers of different ones.

Swedish Hill Winery, is one of the Finger Lakes most award-winning wineries and the only 3 time Governor Cup Winner. With one of the most extensive product lines in table wines, port, sparking wines, and brandy, there is a bottle that will impress any palate from our unique selection of dry to sweet. Experience Finger Lakes wine with a complete winery tour (Memorial Day through October), enjoy our picnic facilities, and visit our infamous miniature donkey, Doobie!
This was my favorite winery on either Seneca lake or Cayuga Lake. Welcoming people. They have thee separate tasting rooms so if there is a large group they can have their own room and not crowd you! We loved most of their wine and this was the only vineyard we ended up buying and shipping home a crate of win! It was waiting for us by the time we got home from our trip..It was shipped quickly and packaged well. Reasonable prices.
