Maine Foodie Tours

Welcome to Maine Foodie Tours! We've got a passion for the rich history, culture and culinary arts of Maine to share with you! Our tour partners are local food and beverage artisans from restaurants and pubs, to culinary-based shops. You'll meet the owners, operators and staff, who along with your MFT guide, offer an introduction into the what, why, and how they do what they do, through personal stories and of course, delicious tastings. One of our favorite words to use in describing our tours is culinary edutainment - educational and entertaining excursions that give you a locals perspective of the town. In Rockland we offer foodie tours seasonally, from May - October. You can also find us seasonally in Bar Harbor and Kennebunkport, or Portland all year long.

Jess's Market

Reviewed By tesiman - Blue Bell, United States

Every year for the past 10 years we stop at Jess's and pick up 4 freshly cooked 1 lb. lobsters. We then stop at either the Rockland Harbor Park (near Primos) or Owl's Head State Park to eat a lobster picnic lunch. This is what coastal Maine is all about. If we lived in the area we would be eating a whole lot of fresh fish from Jess's.

Liberator Brewing Company

Reviewed By C_and_B_Dayton - Beavercreek, United States

On a cold November day we went to Rockland while staying in Maine. We decided to drop by Liberator Brewing and give it a try. We've been to quite a few breweries and this is one of the good ones. It was quiet and a bit out of the center of town, but well worth the stop. Their beers were excellent and the service was great...it was the owner. He was very friendly and sat and talked with us during our visit. It was a great stop. We would definitely visit again if/when we are back in the area. Give it a try, we think you will like it also.
