Mauro was a wonderful guide who led us on an unforgettable ride to the ombue forest and to the lagoon near cabo Polonio. What a great day. The scenery was fantastic and Mauro was an interesting, knowledge, professional, and charismatic guide. We loved the day.

We decided to go in the morning at 10 AM when the light house opened as the evening before it was very hazy and several people in line. The following morning however, we were the only ones and could take in the views peacefully. It costs about 30 UYU if i remember correctly, per person and you climb to the top. Even though it wasn't a sunny day, the views are surely worth it. With the small white houses dotted along the coastline on one side and the colorful streets on the other. Not to miss a clear view of the seal colony as well from above. Overall this was my favourite attraction in Cabo Polonio and offers the best views.

Punta del Diablo's a bit out of the way, and the town itself is nothing special, but this beach is absolutely tremendous and justified the effort on its own....

There are not a lot of places like this left in the World, or certainly not in the Western Hemisphere. Great place to photograph fishing vessels on a beautiful, large beach.
