We live near by the mall and avoid it, only going when absolutely necessary. Holidays and weekends are the worst times to go. The traffic patterns are horrible with cars lining up trying to get out. It can take 20 minutes just to get out.
The shops and restaurants are typical big mall stores you would find at any mall this size. It can be crowded at times. Dillard's, Macy's and JCPenney and Sears are the anchor stores but Sears is declining and don't expect it to stay in the coming years. PF Changs is a new addition for dining. Cheesecake Factory is good also.
Guess I'm just not a fan of malls.

Visitors come to this warm water viewing center to see manatees, an endangered species of marine mammals. Open Nov 1 - April 15
Based across the water from a power station, this viewing centre relies totally on the water being cold out in the ocean so that the manatees swim up the estuary to the discharge pump from the power station which pumps warm water into the estuary. The manatees are seeking the warmth alone. If the weather becomes warmer and the ocean warms then the manatees will swim away and you will see nothing.
We took a long drive out to this location and saw only one manatee that was quite a distance away.
The management team however has tried very hard to make this the very best activity that they can with free parking, free admission, restrooms, ice creams for purchase and a picnic area. The viewing platform has been well designed and built and it makes this a good school trip option.
The saving grace is most certainly the interactive sting ray tank where all visitors can touch the stingrays in their tank (their tail stings have been removed) and this in some way makes up for the lack of manatees.

I was excited to checkout the new theater that just opened up near my house, so when the movie "Girls Trip" came out I figured this would be the perfect opportunity. I loved that I was able to pick my own seats. Initially I was concerned about not being able to see because someone was sitting in the row in front of me (short people problems lol) but the rep assured me that the way the seating is set up it wouldn't be a problem. When I walked into the theater I quickly found out how right she was and not only was I able to see but she forgot to mention how comfortable the seats were. They even recline back!!! I will definitely be making a trip back the next time there is a movie that catches my eye.

Meandering through a natural setting of 100-year-old oaks, stately pines and shimmering ponds, this 18-hole championship design has been consistently ranked among Florida's top 10 golf courses.
If you are expecting a championship course you are not going to find it here. But for the "average" golfer...not so bad. The course gets a bit rougher in the summer but today (November) the fairways were pretty good and the greens OK. Some of the greens had patches of blight but overall they were pretty fast. Most holes are pretty easy but number 9 and 18 will test your skills.
If you just want a day to play golf at a mid-range course, this course will do just fine. If you want to spend $120.00..play the Doral.

This club is one of the most unique places you could probably see in the Tampa area of Florida. It is for the amusement industry including carnivals and other outdoor amusement businesses. Inside you can see posters and photos of everything from freaks from the old days to carnival posters. Across the street is a multimillion dollar museum for the carnival industry where you could see some of the most amazing exhibits from the golden days of the USA. A must see attraction. Every year in February there is an amusement trade show will you can come to purchase equipment and start a business or add to your business already. Step right up and come see the greatest club in this area.

1926 movie palace is on the National Register of Historic Places and still plays its Wurlitzer organ before shows.
My wife and I have attended several performances at the Tampa Theater. It's always a treat to visit this carefully restored old theater and see the "old way" of going to the movies, like our parents and grandparents did. We've been to Oscar-nominated short film events, a sign along version of the classic hit movie, "Grease" starring John Travolta, and it is always a fun time. We especially enjoy the organist playing music before the show, then disappearing, organ and all, below the stage.

We specialize in Artificial, Live-bait, and Fly charters, Scalloping trips and Lobstering. Check out our reviews and book your trip of a lifetime with Capt. Jason.
I've been on two different charters with Captian Jason for inshore fishing (snook, trout, redfish, tarpon) both were great! My friend and I caught way more fish than we expected and had a great time. Jason has a fun positive attitude all the time and gets everyone on the boat laughing. I would recommend him to anyone.

In 2008, the Boje family built The Alley at SouthShore. “The Alley” is a 42,000 square foot state of the art entertainment center in Riverview, Florida about ten miles south of BCB. This time Bill’s two daughters and son in law joined in the partnership. Cary White and Debbie Boje are not part of regular on site management. Debbie is a successful tax attorney and Cary is a prominent employee of Wells Fargo Bank. The Alley is an ultra-modern, high tech entertainment center. It boast’s the best and finest of everything and is a truly “must see” if you're ever in the area.
We bowl in a Monday league and participate in color pin bowling once or twice a week. The people who work here care about their customers and treat us well all the time.
We make a practice of eating lunch in the cafe about once a week with several other bowlers from our groups. The food is excellent - even if it's sometimes a little slow - and the server keeps our drinks full. The portions are large. And if you don't want a real large serving, there are lunch specials that are very reasonably priced.

This preserve has multiple trails leading down to an overlook onto the river. It is a preserve so it is not developed as a park and trails are basic with occasional confirmations. There are entrances on both Boyette and Elbow Bend and parking is at the latter in a stone filled lot which has a protective gate around it. This is rural Florida at its best.
