The holy city of Rishikesh, in the base of the Himalayas, holds deep cultural and spiritual significance for local Hindus. Sacred rivers and mountains set the scene for yoga and reflective hikes, and rafting here is an absolute must. The Beatles got in touch with their Eastern spiritual side here, writing several songs during a 1968 stint at a local ashram.

Kunjapuri Devi Temple is one of the most revered Shakti Peeths of Goddess Shakti in Garhwal Himalayas. This is an ancient temple located at about 1600 meters height. Beauty of this place is, you can see snow-clad white Himalayas and river Ganga (Ganges) from the same peak. The place popular for beautiful sunrise view with the Sun rising from behind the Himalayan peaks. Yogi Arwind Ashram and Kunjapuri Guest house are the places of accommodation. This place is perfect location for yoga, meditation, quiet retreats etc.
A small and beautiful Temple with amazing heights and views of mighty Himalayan mountains. Quiet and full of spunky and loving monkeys (just watch your bags, because the monkeys will steal your stuff, lol!).

Me my wife and kid visited this Gurdwara in May 2018. As I entered, it reminded us of the Golden Temple, Amritsar. Almost same vibe, peaceful and langar hall where we can have free very tasty food, accommodation rooms are there to stay and other facilities also there. Beautifully designed and well-maintained gurudwara in Rishikesh. Walkable distance from main bus stand of Rishikesh.

Shri Satya Sai ghat is located near Laxman Jhula. It is very neat and less crowded as compared to other ghats. There are beautiful idols of goddess Ganga and Shiv and Vishnu gods. The ghat is peaceful and one can spend hours sitting and enjoying the calm and soothing environment that the area offers.
