Rincon is best known for two things—surfing and sunsets. Beaches are small (meaning no huge resort beaches) and no matter how much of a Type-A personality you are, Rincon’s laid-back attitude and leisurely pace will soon win you over.

Valerie and Eric, the owners, are absolutely wonderful people! You can tell they love what they do and want to make sure everyone who comes through their door loves their shop as much as they do! Valerie makes all the stained glass pieces you see there as well as some of the ornaments. She's also a photographer. Eric also does some painting and has some of his art for sale as well. They also feature lots of other artists' pieces including paintings by Nemo. We have purchased several Nemo painting from their shop. They also carry some jewelry, clothes, and lots of other art pieces made by locals. This is an absolute MUST shop to go to when in Rincon!!

Ocean State of Mind is a boutique located in the downtown Rincon plaza that offers local handmade, one of a kind items inspired by all things nature.
Treasure! You know how it is when you've found a treasure, and you scratch the surface to see how pure the gold is - okay i saw that in a movie, ha! - and it's... pure gold... yes, this place! Thisboutique is through and through tasteful and chic, well thought out, intimate and stocked corner to corner, floor to ceiling, out front to warehouse with chic, trusted, tasteful and that particularly Ocean State of Mind quality wares. Jewelry from Santa Fe's Native Americans; Quilted Blankets hand stitched in India; Batik from Hawai'i; the best beach towels I've ever touched and seen; comfy, airy t-shirts, shorts, dresses and clothing from small designers; hand made art and jewelry from locals from Rincon, Puerto Rico; room hangings; stained glass, including some from the owner's Rhode Island hometown; herbal tinctures; essential oils; crystals, turquoise, gold, silver... and all of it presented with a feng shui that is just plain Ocean State of Mind sweet! I bought earrings, necklaces, rings, blankets, essential oils and tinctures... i'll be back for the batik, towels, maybe a book and a sticker, and defintely more jewelry. It's such a cool vibe, I'd just go in there to be in there. The staff are sweet, cute, stylish and the owner makes you feel like you're not just in her store, but in her town... which she shares with others on the square and around, all of them making this a fun surf, beach community. #sweetandsalty #oceanstateofmind #localRincon #treasureboutique

Find a maritime museum and dolphin-spotting platform at this lighthouse in Rincon.
After a day of visiting 3 different beaches in Rincon, we wanted to catch the sunset and get pictures of the El Faro lighthouse. It was not difficult to find using google maps and there's plenty of free parking. Near the lighthouse entrance was a lady selling jewelry for good prices so I bought a few gifts there. The landscaping around the lighthouse and park area is beautiful and there are benches, gazebos and photo ops all around. The bar area overlooks Domes beach below. The prices are decent and it was nice to enjoy a mojito and watch the sunset and the waves below. On this particular night there was live music. We enjoyed out stop here. Check it out and enjoy.

Also known as Rincon Lighthouse or El Faro de Punta Higuero. No admission & lots of parking. It was a nice drive with some hilly narrow roads about 4km from the turn off of Hwy 115. The lighthouse is surrounded by a small park. It’s clean with lots of trees and places to sit. The lighthouse is made of concrete - 70 ft high. You cannot go up the lighthouse. The lighthouse is not the original one. It was rebuilt after it got damaged by an earthquake and then razed it years later after fire damaged. There’s also the Ola Sunset Cafe that’s a good spot to watch the sunset and the surfers on Domes Beach which is close to the lighthouse.

Absolutely one of our favorite beaches in Rincon! Some days see amazing surf, some days see calm conditions perfect for bathing. If you don’t like the conditions one day, wait a day and they will change. Great beach for laying out. Hopping bars and restaurants line the charming little neighborhood that surround the beach. As long as high N/NE winds aren’t in the forecast, this is the beach to go to!
