Today was incredible !!! What a wonderful healing experience i had with the wolves. My husband & i went to see them in Rimrock. Words can’t express the feeling I had with them. I didn’t want to leave. It was such a beautiful experience. We learned one of the wolves we were with today Kira, i think it was about 3 wks ago, she broke her leg, & needed surgery. She’s still in the healing process & has needed a lot of special care which seems to have put a lot more expense out for the care takers Healing Wolf & her husband. So i said to my husband, I was happy we went today. Just so you know you do have to call & make a reservation first. It was a $40 donation per person for us to see the wolves, but what we got back from being with them is PRICELESS. I can vouch for that today. It’s something i’m going to remember forever. Honestly I can say If you want to experience something truly magnificent you have to go to the Medicine Wheel Lodge in Rimrock AZ & spend some time with these magnificent healing wolves. You won’t be sorry. I promise you.

Located in the Verde Valley area, this mysterious crater-lake supported an ancient community of Sinagua Indians.
My pug and I visited this site recently. We were pleasantly surprised how we were able to walk down to the water level, see caves that had been visited throughout the ages as well as some cliff dwellings. Also we walked down to the canals that were made almost 1000 years ago and that diverted water to crops. We saw Arizona’s oldest sycamore tree and some fossils pointed out by a friendly park ranger. There are informative signs throughout. Made for an enjoyable outing.

It was a beautiful Saturday in early June when i visited this site. Easy to get to off I-17 & the signage on the road leads you to the parking area. Good signage panels tell you the history of the area. It's a short walk to the visitor cabin where you check in. Then it's an easy walk near the stream to the petroglyphs. So many all in one place & the ranger gives a very good talk & can recommend more places for your AZ visit. This stop only takes about 30 to 60 min., but is well worth the time.
