We hosted a wedding here and can't say enough good things about RCC. They bent over backwards to make sure it was a wonderful experience. The cocktail hour exceeded all expectations and the dinner was delicious. I got a ton of compliments on the place. Excellent value as well. We looked at 8 places and were so glad we picked them.

I have been trying to come here for years and finally made it, and it exceeded expectations! Beautiful location, beautiful museum, and amazing social justice and civil rights tour given by the museum staff member, who was not only incredibly well informed and passionate but had stories to share from her and her family's own experiences.
I learned so much, and will definitely be coming back to learn more! absolutely enjoyable, educational, and enlightening.
definitely best thing to do in exeter and probably rhode island!

The Shannock Horseshoe Falls are small but pretty in a peaceful setting. A little difficult to find using Google maps but we found it using 1660 Shannock Road as the address. An interesting fish ladder was constructed adjacent to the falls and there are various ruins around the river. Stopped by for a quick visit on the way to Narragansett.

Of all the farm finds on the RI Scavenger Hunt, this one is by far the jewel in our summer. When we pulled up the sharp incline on the hill leading to their parking (anywhere on the grass near their farm), we at first were underwhelmed. The farm was empty, there did not appear to be any attractions and no one was in sight. My fiancee and I looked around for a bit and found some pens for animals we didn't see and jams we were interested in buying that no one was there to sell. Thankfully, that all turned around at a moments notice.
The lovely lady who co-owned the farm burst out with a smile and took us on a whirlwind tour, showing us the rams, goats, cats, dogs, chickens, pony's (for riding and petting) and Emu (don't see that often) who wanted us to leave him be. The husband took over after and showed us around his projects (he is rebuilding one of those carnival sound sets to play at out door events on their property) and attractions (they have a pumpkin carriage among other things). Even though we arrived a tad on the late side out of season, they encouraged us to stay as long as we wanted and were constantly engaging us in conversation.
These people are amazing. I really can't emphasize enough just how much we loved this place and how excited we are to plan attending again this year during one of their larger events. If you have a family and want to support a local business with a fun summer night out, you have to try this farm at least once. It has a bit of everything and will be a grand experience.

In a most unsuspecting place! Very charming upscale Playhouse by the sea! Tickets are reasonable and show quality is terrific. There's a lovely bistro connected to the playhouse in which you can dine at before the show. The food is excellent and price are reasonable. There are the most unique upscale restrooms on a trailer! We would love to go back and catch another show without gay life styles being brought forth. It has a concession stand for intermission as well.

After, visiting another attraction in the area, we had plans to stop by Ninigret to do a bit of walking. However, it seemed as if every square inch of non-parking lot real estate was in use! The fields were packed with visitors, games, soccer matches, and much more! Tennis courts were full. Parking was very full in the main lots, so the walk would have been in the hot sun getting to a field or trail full of people. Even the water was full of swimmers. Dog park was busy when we passed, and so were the bike trails. Disc golf seemed to be available, but we were unprepared. We decided after driving through to try our luck on another day, perhaps in the Fall?

At the Sons of Liberty we believe in making revolutionary craft whiskies without compromise. Our ingredients, distillation processes and undying passion create delicious whiskies that have never been born before. From American Single Malts to Seasonal Whiskies, we are committed to our craft.
This local distillery and now brewery is really growing, and we saw the difference first hand! When we toured two years ago, they distlled whiskey, vodka and gin. Fast-forward two years and the transformation is amazing. The simple bar that once was is now part of the production room. Display of product is no longer on flat table, but on neat and mounted shelves at the new entrance. And, you can taste and buy beer now! The beer is the whiskey base. Big things are happening in little Peace Dale. Stop by and check out a serious distillery and brewing, and manufacturing bar. All product is local and made in house. Staff is awesome! The small ferries are gone (gone south I heard), but the old standbys are still going strong, and for my money and time, nothing is better than the hour spent watching Block Island getting slowly closer over an hour’s time, or reflecting on your BI stay as you see the island slowly get smaller. Walk on, take a bike or car, and enjoy the ride! Great, friendly service. Usually a soft, easy ride (a bit bumpy if you travel soon after a big storm, but really, no worries, the ferries are big enough to easily shoulder the waves away without much rolling or pitching).

Fabulously well maintained arboretum-style park. Most trees labeled with there name. Often the site of special events like the Mem Day Weekend Art Show, Westerly Pops and Fireworks, Shakespeare in the Park, and more. Very nice to visit and walk around even if no event!
