Erstwhile South Parade is Bangalore’s shopping and entertainment hub, along with nearby Brigade Road, Church Street and Commercial Street. Old-timers reminisce fondly about the grand avenue this once was. Many old landmarks have been torn down to make way for characterless glass buildings. The metro running over the road proved to be the proverbial nail in the coffin for MG Road’s beauty. Thankfully, some of the vibe still survives. Walk along and enjoy a few gems that survived the massacre.
Good place to visit .Mahatma Gandhi Road also known as M.G. Road is a road in Bengaluru, India. It runs east from Trinity circle at one end to Anil Kumble circle at the other. Known as South Parade in pre-independence era, it was renamed as Mahatma Gandhi Road on 26 February 1948.

visited with my daughter and wife to have the experience of the world largest Samsung experience store . The store is situated at the junction of Brigade and residency road . This was an very old theater that was converted to a store and they have converted with out loosing the aesthetics of the building There is valet at the store at the residency road end , with charges Rs 50 for first 2 hours and thereafter every hour it is Rs 50 . The steps from the residency road in to the store at the valet end is steep and not friendly who has difficulty in climbing ( also the stores do not have lift to the first floor ) . As you enter the store it is very friendly with ramp for climbing .Place tastefully designed with seating in open out side stores and clean The store neatly displayed of all their premium products , mobile phone and the accessories in the ground floor and Televisions , and white goods in the second floor . there is a coffee shop at the ground floor serves freshly brewed coffee and snacks . There is huge screen with 3D effect running at the one side of the store . I ended up buying one of their premium phone and i stayed in the store for almost 4 hours as i need to transfer the data from old phone to new phone .Mr Vivek explained patiently the features of the phone and patiently transferred the data need a special mention. There seem to be more sales personnel when i was there . The people at the cash counter was very proactive and good . You need to wait for your car for minimum of 10 to 15 minutes as the car has come via brigade road from where they have parked at residency road due to ever traffic congestion in Bangalore , which the valet informs you . Valet charges are waived if you have bought an item in the store . Over all great experience, good aesthetic building which has kept the old style of opera . Should visit to get the experience
