Pioneer Village;Nestled among a 35 acre pine grove with 37 buildings and several original log cabins built and furnished in the 1800's. The buildings are filled with thousands of artifacts of that period. A climate controlled building contains 36 cubicles filled with antique guns, clothing, WWI,II, and Civil War articles. Open from Memorial Day to Labor Day with special events on week ends. See our Web Page.
I have been wanting to stop here for years and we finally did on our last trip to Eau Claire. It was well worth the $10 each to get in, there are so many buildings and so much history on the site!! My husband isn't as big a history buff as I am, but he had a lot of fun seeing the old boats and fishing items. They have everything you can imagine, an old country store, printing shop, blacksmith, church, school, gas station, dentist and doctors offices and of course farming and everyday life items. We spent a good 2 hours wandering around and still didn't see everything. If you have time this is certainly worth stopping for a visit.

This is a very nice, paved walking trail along the Red Cedar River. The entire trail is about 3.5 miles with a two mile north loop and 1.5 mile south loop. The scenery along the river is very nice. I have even encountered white tail deer along the way. The trail is nice for walking dogs as well. There is the occasional biker, but rarely seen. Parking is available at several spots along the route, the most convenient being the Goodwill store on County O.

We do escape rooms & chambers quite frequently and almost always get out of the rooms. We saw a groupon for this place while on vacation and decided to let the kids join in on the fun. We did the School Room, which was very challenging and took all of our skills to escape with about 5 minutes left. Without giving anything away, this place really things about making it challenging but user friendly. They color code the keys to the locks so you know where to use it. We knew how many numbers we needed for the lockbox at the end. The clues we got were helpful but not obvious and we still had to figure things out. The kids all enjoyed it as well & felt like they had really helped too. The owner/mgr was friendly and showed us the other rooms after (the kids wanted to do the HP room, but no time on this trip). Had fun with the signs for the picture after as well!
Only complaint, and it is small, is that I'd replace the walky talkies with baby monitors- we had a hard time understanding what was being said on the walky talky.

Had a wonderful time. Food, all food, appetizer, main meal and beverages were excellent. Staff all worked hard to get it done. Beautiful view of the golf course.

They do an excellent job with many different genres of theater, musicals, drama, comedy, even Shakesphere. I've had season tickets for years and they are only $75 for a year that includes 5 plays, one of ehich is entirely high schoo; students. Light dinners are available one hour before shows. Great bargain.
