We are a 15 inch gauge miniature railway offering rides of a mile length around the Marine Lake in Rhyl which we have been doing since 1911. We still have the first loco that opened the railway on 1st May 1911 and we also operate some of the locos that were built between 1920 and 1926 to replace the two original locos after they were found to be too small. So on the steam loco front we have Prince Edward of Wales (1911) Joan (1920) Railway Queen (1921) Michael (1924) and Cagney (c1910). We also have a diesel loco called Clara (1961) and our Tram (1970). We also have Billy (1926) on display in our museum which is owned by the council. We run every weekend from Easter till end of sept and then school hols with us open everyday for the summer hols. We also have special event through the year at Easter, the second bank hols in May and the first weekend of Aug and our Santa Trains near Christmas.

Visited here with the kids whilst in North Wales. What a beautiful beach!! The sand is gorgeous, clean with plenty of pebbles and shells. Could keep kids entertained for ages. We could have stayed all day even in the rain but it started raining heavy. Loved the beach shops and the souvenir shop. Lovely places to buy freshly made doughnuts, coffee. The souvenir shop was the only place I found some Welsh magnets, seaside rock and fudge. There were arcades and amusements along the promenade as well. We've been to Colwyn Bay Beach but thought Rhyl was better.

We took our 2 grandsons there (they are 23 months). We had a lovely time on the play park and then decided to go on the little train. It was £3 for hubby and I (babies free). The station was really good, a shop there where you could get coffee, refreshments and stuff to go crabbing, and toilets. There were loads of kids catching crabs (and putting them back). The train ride was good too. We spent a really nice afternoon there even though the weather wasn't great.

This free walk is packed full of scenery and the walk can be as long or short as you want. There’s plenty of benches to rest and little hidden gems to find. Tonnes of ducks!

Rhyl SeaQuarium has an open seafront location and sits on the beautiful North Wales coastline. We would like to welcome all new explorers to join us on a voyage of discovery as we travel beneath the waves, from tranquil fresh waters to the cold depths of the abyss. Along the way we will encounter the strangely shaped sturgeon, as well as sharks found off our very own coast and rays that glide effortlessly through the water. We will also find solitary lobsters, conger eels and mystical axolotls before entering the Lethal Reef, home to some of the most poisonous animals on our planet. These are just a few of the amazing, strange and beautiful animals that await us on our adventure.
Our kids (10,8,6,3)all loved being up close to so many sea creatures! We used Tesco vouchers to pay for it.

Tidy little cinema in Rhyl. Parking on car park isn't free but there is plenty of street parking around. Staff pleasant and tickets are cheap but as always refreshments are a bit steep. Nice location on the seafront if you fancy stretching your legs after a film and some nice places to eat around that area

Splashpark including 8 thrilling slides, a wet play area and an outside splash pad. Also home to Wales' 1st Ninja TAG Active Arena and the rainforest Diner.
Booked to visit SC2 with my children ages 6,4 and 2 before reading any reviews without thinking, after paying I came online to check and all the bad reviews on here did nothing but put me off, but I can honestly say my children had the time off there life! The pool depth is perfect for younger children it totally made me feel at ease knowing they could stand up, my younger two used the smaller slides by themselves and were perfectly safe and my eldest used the bigger slides too and loved them, there is a deeper bit of the pool round the back but we didn’t really use it much. The pool is perfectly made to suit children of younger ages. Anyhow we had a great day and the price was really reasonable a lot cheeper than some alternative Waterparks! It was spotless and the staff were constantly cleaning the changing rooms, food was available however we did not eat there. All in all it was a fabulous day Would definitely recommend visiting and we will definitely be going back.
