This privately owned store is small and thoughtfully curated/merchandised. Very clever toys and learning tools for young people. Great shop and good prices!

Albert Shahinian Fine Art is a premier art dealer and venue in the Hudson Valley since 1998. Exhibits showcase paintings, photographs and works on paper by living mid-and late-career regional artists, as well as ceramics, cast-metal sculpture, & artist books. The gallery is a 3rd floor walk-up (not handicap accessible), and includes two exhibit galleries and a back-room gallery. We proudly received the "Best of Hudson Valley 2018" recognition for Best Art Gallery in the region. Enjoy your visit to Rhinebeck and the surrounding environment for its beauty, history, and "home" to the Hudson River School of Art.

Winter Sun Summer Moon is my absolute favorite store in Rhinebeck! Browsing is a feast for the senses, as their clothing, jewelry, decorative items, soaps, etc. is so exquisite I can guarantee you'll want to buy everything in the store! (I do!) I've been coming here for at least 2 1/2 years now - first as a visitor and now as a resident of Rhinebeck, and I never tire of it. If you need a gift for someone or you simply want to browse, this is your place.

Wilderstein Historic Site, with its exquisite Queen Anne mansion and Calvert Vaux designed landscape, is widely regarded as one of the Hudson Valley’s most important examples of Victorian architecture. The estate was the home of Margaret (Daisy) Suckley, whose extraordinarily close relationship with Franklin Delano Roosevelt has been well-chronicled and is the subject of much interest. Wilderstein’s guided tour includes the elaborate 1888 interiors of the first floor of the mansion, the exterior architecture, landscape, annual exhibition, and video. The regular season for guided tours is May through October. In addition, the mansion is open and decorated for the holidays from Thanksgiving weekend until the end of December. There is also a network of hiking trails on the property, special events throughout the year, a gift shop, and spectacular Hudson River views.
I have visited Wilderstein for the holidays and I never get tired of coming here. It is such a beautiful home and such excellent views of the Hudson River. Only the first floor is open to the public but there is a lot to see. The whole house was redecorated in Gothic Revival and all the woodwork on the first floor is most impressive with it carved details and beautiful detail work. There are stained glass windows in the dining room that held the coat of arms and the table had been laid for Christmas lunch. The Receiving Room is impressive but needs to be renovated. The silk furnishings are falling apart. The Living Room was very welcoming and warm and was decorated with a tree as the family would have in their day and the room was set for tea and you could tell must have been a well used room as it had such a warm feeling with beautiful views of the river. The library where Ms. Suckley lived was still in perfect shape with walls of books and an impressive fire place. Really take your time in room and admire the beauty and details that were put into this house.

Come for one of the many workshops or for a personal R&R stay. Omega is a soul-satisfying place with beautiful grounds and a peaceful atmosphere. Accommodations range in price from basic camping to deluxe eco-friendly rooms. Most people stay in the dorms which are private (small) rooms with shared bathrooms. The campus is hilly but they have golf carts that help people with mobility issues navigate the grounds. I have been going every year for over ten years and always have a wonderful time.
