This park is so close to us. It has a great walking/biking trail that comments with the longer trail in Pickerington. There are several good grassy areas with tables and covered eating areas. Its very user friendly and the park staff is always quick to answer any questions. I love going to the wildlife watching building in the back of the park-- I'm always amazed at the number of birds and small wildlife at the feeders!

Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum

The focus of this museum is primarily historical AMA racers and personalities. The hardware (bikes) are prominently featured usually in connection with featured historical racers. The bikes are of historical significance as the very bikes used by the feature rider in a notable season of racing, as a first or last of its type in a particular racing category, or in its role in a particular racer's notable achievement. The displays are less about the bike's mechanical details and their evolution but you can get close enough to the bikes to appreciate their design and construction. The display placards give typically a paragraph about the racer and one about the bike, which was enough to inform and appreciate without becoming boring. My only criticism is that often large photo portraits of the historical racers were not located adjacent to the bikes associated with them, which could be confusing. As a car guy, engineer, and racing enthusiast, I learned a lot and was able to appreciate what was presented without specifically being a motorcycle enthusiast. My college-age son who is studying engineering and has a vague interest in motorcycles also found it interesting. Admission is a reasonable $10 per person for non-AMA members.

Very pretty walk in the woods. Trails are kept fairly clean. Signs are good to point out interest and direction. Some exertion required on the uphill path.

Creekside Park

This beautiful five-acre park is the centerpiece of historic Olde Gahanna. Best known for its lovely waterfall, the park invites visitors to stroll the walkways, enjoy a nostalgic picnic, take a paddle boat ride, fish, or wade in the delightful water of the meandering Big Walnut Creek.

Whether it's special events that are held in the area (Corvette and Custom Car show, Blues Fest, Creepside, etc), or just a free live music event, it's a cool place to go.
We walk there and hang out, get some dinner, walk around, have some ice cream, watch the ducks swim around, just relax in general.

Could use a few more restaurants in the area just to add a little more variety, but overall, still a quant little area.

It was a nice smallish neighborhood park and a playground too. A small parking area, but mainly it's for locals in the neighborhood. It was clean and maintained nicely.

Gahanna Woods State Nature Preserve

Founded in 1973, Gahanna Woods State Nature Preserve is a successful effort to save one of the last remaining large stands of woods in central Ohio. The preserve is both a nature lover and bird watcher’s dream, with rare species of vegetation, including some of Ohio’s most exceptional wildflowers, and rarely-seen wildlife. Consisting of more than 50 acres, the preserve offers plenty of scenic hiking trails and areas for picnicking.

Reviewed By Chris2200 - Columbus, Ohio

Gahanna Woods is actually 2 parks in one because the east side is a wetlands preserve and the west side is a walking park. Both sides may be hiked but bikes, dogs and other domesticated animals are not permitted on the wetlands preserve because they would disturb the natural habitat. The west side has nice trails for walking and walking with pets. By making a loop within a loop, approximately 5 miles of trails can be walked without crossing over too much of the same terrain, but shorter loops are definitely available.

This park is relatively small and has some viewing decks for bird watchers and a small walking path that goes in a circle ... Could be almost a mile trail around and open field. Little to no shading or trees along the walking path.

Took family to see the Nutcracker on Christmas Eve. Beautiful theater, kind and pleasant staff, terrific acoustics, easy parking (I actually parked on a close flat lot which was free on Sundays rather than under the Statehouse). The show was terrific! This might become a new family tradition.

My husband and oldest son flew in a balloon which I was allowed to follow until they landed. It was a wonderful trip for them and exciting to watch them fly over farms and buildings - especially in the suburbs. They are very friendly and when they landed they invited all the neighborhood children to help fold up the balloon that was several houses long in the street!

We found this on trip advisor and made arrangements with Steve to visit... In a nondescript part of German Village in a residential neighborhood sits this garage building with about a dozen 50's cars and other auto collectibles that the owner chooses to find and display... We spent about 30 minutes talking with him about the history of his collection and then headed to dinner... A truly small gem, both the collection and the individual...
