What to do and see in Regent's Park / Kings Cross, England: The Best Things to do

November 4, 2021 Frederic Celentano

The crown jewels, Buckingham Palace, Camden Market…in London, history collides with art, fashion, food, and good British ale. A perfect day is different for everyone: culture aficionados shouldn't miss the Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House. If you love fashion, Oxford Street has shopping galore. For foodies, cream tea at Harrod’s or crispy fish from a proper chippy offers classic London flavor. Music and book buffs will love seeing Abbey Road and the Sherlock Holmes Museum (at 221B Baker Street, of course).

Queen Mary's Gardens

Lovely formal rose gardens located within Regent's Park, which feature visual delights such as a rock garden, statues, fountains and waterfalls.

Queen mary's Gardens are in Regents Park. Regents Park is such a beautiful huge park, the perfect place for a sunny day. The Queen Mary's Rose Garden's is one of my favourite places in London, when the roses are in full bloom it is absolutely wonderful. When it's a sunny day, take a seat by the pond and listen to the birds, it's a lovely break from the busyness of London. Would highly recommend a visit!

It's a welcome walk in a beauty spot for those living in London who want to get away from the bustle of the city, also a nice tourist venture with London Zoo and the Queen Mary's rose gardens, a perfect picnik place in summer with much to see.

Great spot next to Oxford Street. Professional staff and they really care of the quality of drinks. When the barrel with lager almost finish one of the bartenders gave me a pint of lager. But she knew that the beer last beer from the barrel doesn't taste good so she changed for a new pint. I don't think so that in diferent bar someone would be able to do it. Unfortunately I can't remember her name but she is liitle chubby smiling girl with long dark hair and she is really good what she does. She cares. Well done. Can't wait to have a drinks soon.

Spent the whole day here and still don’t think I saw everything. Paid for the tickets with Tesco vouchers which made it really good value. Park area clean and tidy and park staff very helpful and polite Animal enclosures clean and animals look well cared for with room to move around staff on hand to give information if required Restaurant and gift shop pricey but that’s to be expected water freely available in restaurant for no charge All considered a really good day out

London Canal Museum

A waterside museum of London's canals and the Victorian ice trade, set in a former ice warehouse of the 1860s. It tells the colourful story of the canals, their people, horses and trade. Peer down into a huge ice well, uniquely preserved, and learn about the ice trade. Go inside a narrowboat cabin, meet the horse, and watch archive film. Free MP3 audio tour for download from the museum website for your own player.

We visited the London Canal Museum and did the canal boat ride for 50mins also. The museum has a lot of interesting information about the history of the canal boats and the Regent Canal. The boat ride was great too. Only 12 passengers at a time and it is a short trip along the canal through the tunnel and then turns around just before the lock. For those interested in the history it is well worth a visit. Highly recommended..
