Rapid City has long been considered one of the gateways to the West, and its rich cowboy and Native American heritage is the result. Visitors won't want to miss the area's mammoth outdoor sculptures. There's Mount Rushmore, of course, but work also continues on the nearby Crazy Horse Memorial, which will be the largest sculpture in the world when it is finally completed years down the line. Among the many local attractions are the scenic Black Hills, several nearby cavern systems that offer guided tours and the South Dakota Air and Space Museum.

The Elks Theatre is a family-owned business and the pride that they take in what they do is obvious. Everything is clean- especially the bathrooms! The main screening room feels like a throw-back to old times complete with a balcony but the technology is state of the art. New seats have been installed and they're very comfortable. Beyond the amazing picture on a large screen with amazing sound- it's only $5 to see a movie!!! They always have the top box office movies right after they leave the chain theaters. Not only is admission cheap- the cost of the concessions is also extremely reasonable. And they have the BEST popcorn- so be sure to save room! It's obvious that everyone who works there loves their job. They're all friendly and helpful. The screening room upstairs offers additional movie options. (You have to be able to climb a pretty good flight of stairs to get there so may want to consider this if someone in your group has health issues.) It's a smaller theater but the sound and picture are excellent. They even have concessions and restrooms on the second level. I refuse to pay ridiculous prices at the dirty chain theaters in town. I only go to movies at the Elks!

An 8,000 sq.ft. indoor black light miniature golf experience that will ROCK you! 18 holes with a Rock n Roll theme. Fun for all ages. Also featuring Miner's Maze - an outdoor human maze adventure and Finder's Keepers Gemstone Panning.
Great place to spend an hour or so killing time. The mischief wheels at several of the holes made the game even more interesting. The facility is very clean and the staff pleasant and courteous

Live action escape games based on real Western South Dakota events. Fun, challenging and addictive, solve the clues to "escape" the rooms in 60-120 minutes... IF you can! 5 Scenarios available. Murder in Saloon #10, Haunted Deadwood Bed & Breakfast, Zombie Prairie Dogs, and WWIII-Aliens and Ellsworth AFB. Soon to be returning, Terror at Holy Terror Mine!! Each room has a different difficulty level. You can play past the time limit, we want you to succeed, but if you can finish before time is up, you can make the top 20 list on our web page!
Great experience at the WWIII room! I've been to some rooms that are nothing more than 20 padlocks that you have to open. Not here - this includes computers, lasers, black lights, multiple numeral systems, magnetic locks, and more. Very well thought out. I really appreciated that they don't kick you out at the time limit and that they don't force you to play with other people. Happy in every way with our experience.

Flags and Wheels is a locally-owned, family run business. We pride ourselves in being the premier indoor attraction destination in South Dakota. We've always had a passion for racing, and with Flags and Wheels, we can share that fun and passion with you! Over the years we've expanded our business to include more than just racing. We want to create an environment that's fun for the whole family, from the young to the young at heart. The Black Hills is home to many attractions, but Flags and Wheels is unique and one of the few that truly has something for everyone.
Just finished a party of seven boys ages 11-13. They had a ball. Everything is I working order, the cars are fun, batting cages, arcade games and laser tag. Party room works out nicely. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
